I read in this weeks Tribune that another court house employee has been charged with embezzlement. Who does the hiring there? Don't they do background checks? If I have my facts straight this person is a friend of Candace and Commissioner LeFleche. Anybody know anything about this other than whats in the paper?

For $9.19 per hour, I can't afford to work there. Those kinds of jobs are only for people with working spouses, or pension income. No wonder she was stealing gas money!

Oh please no one will get that job.You have to be fired, or accused and terminated, or quit before they will callyou. God forbid they should seek out honest employees, they just continue to recycle the bad ones. Look at candy Fox, Kim was at the road commision, see what i mean. I believe if you are terminated for any reason you should be non eligable for rehire. And non eligable for a elected position. STOP THE RECYCLE SYSTEM.SEEK OUTHONEST AND RESPONSIBLE HELP. Please do you actually thin

You all are right. She stole gas money. She was fired. I believe she was making considerably more than $9.19/hr. And, yes the Tribune failed to report even a smidgen of this news until this issue, and then only a very small item on page 3. Typical Tribune coverage (or should I say coverup). Seems like the employees don't learn by other people's unfortunate experiences, and they are doomed to keep repeating them.

People make mistakes, sometimes out of desperation, we should all be people of second chances, forgive and move on. Should she keep her job? no I believe she has broken the trust of the people, but should we forgive and move on? yes. Jessica, you have my forgivness and if you need anything you have my help as well. As far as the Tribune, thank you for being sensitive to peoples lives, blasting this type of news all over the county only hurts. Thanks again.

Same thing applies to Kim Dobbyn, or anyone else who's been human enough to fail. Forgiveness heals broken people and broken environments....and it gives permission to grow in the right direction without fear of being beaten down every time an injured soul tries to rise above their negative and difficult new learning curve. If we truly care about our neighbors....offer them kindness and assistance instead of the sickle of judgement.

Maybe if you owned property and paid property taxes you would look at it differntly, you think.

Although I paid property taxes on a combination of two homes for over 31 years....as far as I can see it, it makes no difference whether I do or I don't....I pay rent now, so the person who owns the house can pay his property taxes....another scenario where both parties win.....don't cha' ya think?

During the sad episode involving Kim Dobbyn, I owned a home on the water at Rush Lake...our second home.....which included paying the school taxes....a little something you don't probably do, and thus over-looked in your statement.

Rush Lake? You did pay some property taxes since Gary Boldrey never saw a piece of lakefront he couldn't tax to high heaven.

In 2006, property value was $365,000.00. Pay those taxes baby! Oh yeah....the American Dream years. I sincerely don't believe our grandchildren will ever know the opportunities we had. If my ex-husband hadn't worked 6-7 days a week for most of the year, Rush Lake would have remained only a sweet dream. I'm ever so grateful for that experience...it helped shape who I am today....and I'm soooo okay with that. Thank you for recognizing that we all pay, at least, our fair share one way or the other...and in many instances, much more. It's NOT about taxes, or stuff, or jobs, or property....it's about PEOPLE. WHO do you CHOOSE to be?

scarlettears thank you, whether you paid taxes or not, that is not the reason you have a voice, this is America and anyone can voice their opinion. Curious is entitled to his/her opinion too. I am not sticking up for bad choices, Kim Dobbyn, in this case. I believe she should pay back all of what was taken, and should she work for the county, probably not but it may be the only way the taxpayers of this county get any money back so in that respect let her work. If people were more honest and tried to be kinder to each other we would certainly see an improvement in our county. It has to start with our leaders, elected officials and it seems our commissioners won't get along enough to do the peoples business. All are up for re-election this year, start praying for honest, hard working people to run for office, we need change or a change of heart.
