Letter From Representative on Hemp Resolution

On June 30th Everett Swift received the following letter From State Representative Gillard In response to the industrial Hemp Resolution Swift had submitted.

Dear Mr. Swift,
Thank you for your recent emails and phone call. I apologize for my delayed response. As I am sure you can understand I have been hard at work trying to find a compromise on the state budget.
I have read your proposed resolution on industrial hemp and found it very interesting. There are many facts about industrial hemp that I was not aware of, including its use as an agricultural and industrial product. Currently my office and I are concentrating on resolving the budget issues facing Michigan. This will be my main focus until a comprehensive compromise has been reached. I will review your resolution again after this happens. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention. If there is anything else I can assist you with please do not hesitate to contact my office.
