This has to go back to 2000, it was the first time I'd really ever been in Reynoldsburg, I was staying at the Best Western on Brice, I believe. Anyway between Livingston and 270 there was a bank with a walk up ATM. It was late, I was tired but I needed some cash. As I pulled in the lot I noticed a slow moving car pull around the side street and onto the backside of the lot. I hustled back to my car and was pulling off as they pulled in front of the bank. I had a strong feeling had I gone in and gotten cash that cash would have ended up being theirs.

My contract specifically stated I could not be armed at any time. I was getting paid some pretty good bucks so it was a risk I was willing to take. I rarely ventured out at night and when I did it was generally to a well populated public place.

Did it also require you to vote democrat and send in a copy od your absent ballot so they could tell you which school board and other so called non partisan race candisates to pick? No amount of money would keep me from being armed. I couldn't be armed on their sites. I was on-call 24/7 and wasn't about to have a nice piece stolen by a hotel housemaid. To me it was just more hassle to carry--and mind you, I'm very much a pacifist in most cases. In those days I was more interested in target shooting contests with my buddies than thoughts of wiping out urban pests.

When I used to travel for government work I too didn't carry because my contract forced me not to. I even had the same discussion of how I was going to sue them if something happened to me if I was harmed and couldn't defend myself. Their response, "sue us.".
