Texas town's immigrant-renting rule is struck down

A local government passes an ordinance, approved by the local LEGAL voters, to help with the problem of illegals and a federal judge says it's unconstitutional.

At least two problems here:

..... Federal government has too much power.

..... The financial interests of apartment owners take precedence of the wishes of most of the voters.

Illegal immigration isn't going away as long as it has the support of federal judges.

Texas? Nominated by republicans! So grandma, even if you vote for "granpa" for president, nothing will happen!

This is ridiculous...why are the landlords allowed to rent to criminals, knowingly?

Can they rent to dope runners?

Shouldn't you have to report it if a
a still is being run in your apartment?
Or you realize you are housing a pimp or a prostitute?

I had always wondered why we had so many Lawyers in this country. I hadn't realize so many people were so lacking on a basic knowledge of law.

Well that's funny because I'm a quarter mexican and I don't want illegals going around unchecked. My brother's wife is from Guadalajara and she's pro illegal immigration though.

Because a lot of them do. My sister in law works pro bono for an organization that gets them food stamps and all sorts of aid. It happens A LOT.
The husband is out working and the wife/girlfriend
is taking care of the 3 kids, all on different types of welfare/wic etc. ON our dime. NOT learning english because it's translated completely into spanish for them from a to z.

You actually point out why he hates illegal immigrants. He immigrated here legally, became an American citizen. And the people who come here illegally with no interest in being United States citizens give the legal immigrants a bad name because so many people only look at the name.
