I am so with you there. It is terrible that this boy lost his life but it sure is not the fire departments fault.
If mom wants to play the blame game your right she needs to look in the mirror.
Why did she let her son grow to his teenage years without knowing how to swim? Why would she let him play unsupervised in a creek when she knew he couldn't swim?
If she thinks the firefighters could have walked right over and saved him why didn't she wade her big a** through the water and save her son who was in this situation because of her own neglect.
I am sorry the boy died and I know she is heartbroke but she doesn't need to be pointing fingers.

First of all, why didn't she get HER fat butt up and help her son? Secondly, why didn't she teach her son to swim? A 13 should know how to swim, that's ridiculous. Thirdly, why didn't she teach him to stay away from creeks especially since she didn't do her parental duty and teach im how to swim?

If there's one thing that pisses me off is these lazy uncaring parents who suddenly act as if they care if there might be some money in it. Her son is gone because of HER, not the firefighters. If she's not illiterate I hope she reads this, or someone who knows her.

She is atypical of people today. Always finding someone else to blame. If we got rid of all the lawyers in the world today there would be less lawsuits.

The only solution to this is accepting responsibility for our own actions. This woman killed her own child through her actions/inactions.
