Post Fortified Oatflakes was my favorite cereal when I was growing up. No one makes a cereal anything like it. I wuld love for them tomake it again!

Like everyone else, I have been hunting for them for years. I thought it was a north/south thing. I grew up in Ohio then moved down to AR in the late 70's. All 5 of us kids in our family still remember Post Oat Flakes, we loved them with honey. I would buy them by the case if I could find them!

I emailed them a few years ago, and Fortified Oat Flakes was pulled from the market. Too expensive to make and not enough demand. They said they would bring it back if there were strong public demand. They were even good soggy in milk...terrific cereal.

I am eating a bowl of Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value brand Oat Bran Flakes. It's the closest substitute I've come across in a long time.

I used to buy Fortified Oat Flakes and loved them! I wish Post would bring them back.
In the mean time I've found that Nature's Path brand Oaty Bites have a very similar taste.
I've found Oaty Bites at Whole Foods but imagine they can be found at most stores that carry Nature's Path cerials.

This was my favorite cereal also, no gimmicks to it, just healthful and so tasty ! Today you can only find sugary sweet or cardboard cereals.

This was also my favorite cereal, and I'd buy it by the case as well if they would bring it back. It was healthy and not too sweet. Today you only find sugary sweet, lumpy clusters or cardboard tasting cereals on the grocery shelves.

Post Oat Flakes was the best cereal ever - ate them all the time as a kid and bought it specially ordered by the case as an adult when I couldn't find it in the store anymore back in the 90's before Post stopped making it. I will check out the Whole Foods cereal that Lisa wrote about above.

I've wished for a bowl of Post Oat Flakes for years. They were my favorite. For the life of me, I can't figure out why they stopped making them. There has been nothing to compare to them since.

For years I've wished for a bowl of Post Oat Flakes. For the life of me I can't figure out why they stopped making them, especially after seeing all the junk cereals that have stayed on the market.
