Kelloggs had an oat flake cereal called Complete Oat Flakes.
It was great!
They just discontinued it.
What is up with these cereal companies?

Closest thing we've found is Trader Joe's Toasted Oatmeal Flakes. However, it also contains wheat.

Post had several versions (recipes) of Post Oat Flakes. The early 1960's recipe was the best by far, however whatever recipe Post had on the market was better than any other cold cerial. There is hardly a day goes by that I don't think about how good Post Oat Flakes tasted.

Post has been acquired by Ralcorp pending approval by both boards and US government. This is expected to go through this year.

This is our best chance to get this outstanding product back. I suggest an e-mail campaign once the take over is final to Ralcorp to get them to start making this cereal again. Kraft foods never listened and basically ran Post into the ground.

As soon as it's official lets all start the campaign!!!

I miss Fortified Oat Flakes but I've found something very close to it. The brand name is '365' and it's called Oat Bran Flakes. I've found it at health food stores such as Whole Foods and Wild Oats.

Oh absolutely! Post's FORTIFIED OAT FLAKES was the best cereal I ate growing up in the sixties and early seventies. I'd love for it to make a come-back, but like with so many other treasured childhood favorites, it's never the same later! Some company brought out Pine Bros cough drops a few years ago and they were awful.

Many candies that are still around today have obviously changed their recipes, and that includes DOTS and TWIZZLERS (strawberry and licorice), two name just two obvious examples.

I remember eating this all the time as a kid. It was my favorite cereal (as well as my dad's). Nothing's touched it since. I've put it on my wish list along with Lemon-Up Shampoo and Rondo Soda as an item I wish they'd revive. Maybe Kellogg's Pep, too. I lived in Michigan in the 1970s, but we traveled out to Arizona a few times, and they still had Kellogg's Pep then. But Oat Flakes were definitely THE BEST!

OMG! I loved Fortified Oat Flakes. Nothing compares. Hands down, the best cereal EVER. Also Del Monte used to make a pineapple grapefruit juice in a big can. My mom always gave it to us when we were sick. I've tried mixing pineapple and grapefruit, but it's just not the same.

I recall their commercials: "They taste like oatmeal cookies" - I used to eat them in chocolate milk. Gr-e-e-e-e-at!

This is a link of one of Post Oat Flakes earliest commercials featuring Andy Griffith. These early 1960's Post Oat Flakes were by far the best that there ever was. Even after tinkering with the recipe to make them more crispy (at a detriment to flavor), Fortified Oat Flakes were still the best flavored cerial on the market.

I don't understand why they stopped making Kelloggs complete. There must be someone we can write to or call. I would buy it by the case if i could find it.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
