1 I agree w/you - I plan on moving - last year a "loose single mom" moved into a house on 186th, the house was shot up with her poor kids in the house, due to her lifstyle, and the way she lives with all kinds of men who deal drugs....what pisses me off is that the children in that house are brought up to think that this is "normal", and what's bugging me is that the bullet holes in her windows still have not been fixed - almost like she's proud to display...where I live in Lansing is only a block away from this woman - it was a wonderful neighborhood, with many people being retired......now we have this trash........ |

1 I have been trying to get the Mayor and Police to post crimes on the POLICE WEBSITE and all I get is a run around. Every single crime they have to report to the National crime database. They want to HIDE this information for obvious reasons. There are three people across the street that have lived there for 25 years. All moved out in the last four months and one of them is a teacher in Lansing. I'm sorry. It's not about color. It's about reputation. Its a simple fact that when blacks move in crime moves in. And the whole country knows it. TF south is in a litteral LOCK DOWN |

Vote smart and look at the voting records before you do or everywhere you go will resemble where you are now and worse. Angry, I've heard some horror stories about LGP lately from a few residents and it looks like your town may soon be linking up with cicero and berwyn unless your pols get pro-active about it. Hope not? It's a nice quiet town until the rancheros move there. Pray for McMansions sprouting up, but not next door to you? They lierally DO block the sun. |

Two of my neighbors are black and are the nicest people you could want for neighbors, my old neighbors were mexican and were like family to me and my wife. Every town has its problems, god forgive a mexican family or african american family trying to make a difference or better themselves my moving to your community. Anyone can be a shitty neighbor be them black, white, etc... Dont waste your life walking around with blinders. Majority of the crimes in town are domestic batteries and cant be generalized to one cover. Do you think drugs, and thefts dont happen in other places? Once upon a time Cal City, Gary, Harvey, East Chicago, Ford Heights, Chicago Heights and many others were all nice places to live. Economics and ignorant people that raise even more ignorant offspring have ruined all of these towns. Learn to raise your kids and put down your crack pipe and maybe you won't have to bury your child or visit him at county. I can't beleive you actually defend and enjoy what happens in these towns as "white flight" occurs. I personally could give a rats ass what color my neighbor is as long as the neighborhood is safe.
