About a week and 1/2 ago a family in Frey Acres was horrified as they watched their "little' dog die right before their eyes! They had the Health dept. do an autopsy on it since it wasn't a sick dog. The cause was found to be it had eaten a hot dog soaked in antifreeze! How can people be so cruel. The owner says the dog always stayed in their yard.

People who are sick enough to do something like that should have the samething done to them. Whats next are they going to try it on a kid who is trick or treating. A sick person like that wouldnt hesitate at lacing candy with antifreeze. It doesnt matter if the dog shouldve of been chained up because it happened on someones private property. There are some really sick and twisted people out there.

No some people see animals as a commidity and others see them as on the same line of life as humans if not with humans above them. I get real aggervated because I guarantee that this thread gets more comments than one about the guy who sexualy assualted his step daughters. Some people would rather defend an animal that just lays around and eats all day, rather than a child. It pisses me off. Sorry about the lost of the pet, I probobly commented to quick without thinking. But whenever I hear the news and I hear them say "some farmer shot his dog because it was sick, and now is in prison" then I go to Wal-mart and see a convicted child molester free. It bothers me. To thread below no I dont know who did it. I dont even now where Frey acers is

Not defending the person who did this but maybe it was meant for a cat. People seem to think that cats can be outside pets but those of us who don't own them, don't like cleaning up after them! They crap under bushes, dig through trash and jump on people walking on the sidewalks.

If you want a pet keep it on your property and don't let it roam the town. Same with dogs, rabbits & kids. Keep them out of the yards of people who don't have them or don't want them, or quit complaining when someone calls the cops or takes matters into their own hands.

I don't see anything in my post that says I think of animals any better than human beings. That is a totally different story and believe me, I have more compassion for a human than a dog but I was just sad to see that anyone could be so cruel to "any" living thing. If that pisses you off, so be it.
OF COURSE I do not hold any animal above any human. Your statement about my thread has "nothing" to do with what I was saying. I was only wondering how "any" human could do this to an animal. And to top it off, since you're so concerned about the difference between a dog and a child-- three little kids had to witness the death of their beloved puppy because some STUPID human decided to kill it instead of calling the owners if they had a problem, or even the authorities.
And I am sorry, but I have a feeling you DO know where Frey Acres is.

It shouldnt really matter if its a cat or a dog. What the person did was throw something on to someones PRIVATE PROPERTY. Its not like the dog was wandering the neighborhood and going into other peoples yards. What if they have a 2 or 3 year old child playing in the yard and that child found the hot dog first. They wouldnt know that it was poisoned and that they shouldnt eat it. All a child would see is a yummy hot dog. Some people think of animals as just property well then isnt that destroying someone elses property?

I am not sure but I think it is off of hill road? maybe? Am I close? It is real easy for humans to do that to animals. It happens everyday. Do you belong to PETA

No, I don't belong to PETA. And no, I do not think I am always right. But as I said before, that is not why I posted this.
I was just so "shocked" that "anyone" could be so cruel, to any living thing. The most I can say is that I am a "softie" for animals, but I definitely don't put them in the same category as humans.
You have taken this way out of context because "something" about this bothers you alot--- and not the poor dog who died.
And---I am willing to bet you live right there in Frey Acres.

NO, it is not real easy for MOST humans to do that to animals! But, I'm sure it is for the SICK ones! And it doesn't happen every day --unless the sick people make that their routine.
I do understand that some animals are pests and there are normal people who don't want to deal with them. And I agree that they should call the authorities, owners, or whoever, to get it taken care of--- even the community service officers to get the animal picked up and having the owner pay a fine and deal with the problem. BUT!!!! feeding an animal a hotdog laced with antifreeze so it will suffer and letting kids watch it--- when it was just a little terrior type dog-- the only person who does this for is their SICK amusement.
I STILL think you live in Frey Acres.

Has it occured to the owner or police (you did call them, right?) that this was done by kids driving around and throwing the hot dogs from a car? Just because your dog ate one doesn't mean it was the only one out there.

Also, I watch my grandchildren very closely in the yard and they would NEVER have the time to put something in their mouth that they picked up from the yard. If your kids eat stuff from the yard then you aren't watching them close enough.

Maybe you hover over your grandkids because you dont have a fenced in back yard. It only takes a second for a kid to stick something in their mouths. Im sure you cant keep your eye on them every second. How can kids in a car throw a hot dog over a fence when it is in the backyard and there is no alley behind the house?

Are you really this stupid? Where did it say the yard was fenced in and the hot dog was thrown over the fence? I have a fenced in yard, 3 dogs, 2 grandchildren and neighbors that are Darwin Award runner-ups. I watch these kids like I did my own......carefully. I don't leave them unattended for any reason. It sounds like you and your friends haven't figured out how to do that yet, which is proably the reason someone threw a poisoned hot dog in your yard!

If it was thrown over a fence with as little access as you seem to think then you pissed off someone with a dog that yaps all night, children that aren't attended properly and a dumba** for a parent. I feel for your neighbors.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aquarius

This is another day when financial matters cause trouble, as Mars reverses in your seventh house. What started off as a minor niggle with a partner or an opponent yesterday could now escalate into a full-blown row, but at least this will give you the chance to get certain things out into the open. Legal issues from the past may become ugly. If you're pointing the finger of blame at someone, don't get so heated that you accuse them of everything under the sun.
