Just remember all you "law abiding citizens of Highland" that we may not be able to carry afirearms secretly, but we can show our strength by carrying openly! So lets do it and proove to all the low life liberals we mean business!!

What carry guns openly so another innocent child can get shot in the head like what happened in Missouri recently. A neighbor accidently shot a child in the head when he was target practicing.How sad.

Highland police gave semiautomatic weapons to their cops and now even the short skinny wimps look tougher. The night shift is the only ones I've seen brandishing them, outside a bar on Broadway a couple months back. I think Heather looked hot with her big ass gun. Yes, guns in public view are a crime deterant. I wouldnt mess with these suckers.

Is Highland so dangerous and crime ridden that you don't feel safe without your weapon in town? Good Lord, Highland's own police are not competent enough to carry firearms, what makes you think YOU are! Hey Cynthia, Highland cops have had "semiautomatic weapons" as you call them, since the mid eighties when they transitioned away from revolvers. If you mean rifles they have had them to just not in every car. You know nothing of what you speak so SILENCE!!!! Gun hater... let me "hate" on you for a moment.... Just because some dumbass doesn’t follow one of the most basic gun safety rules, "Using a safe backstop and knowing what lies beyond your backstop," Does not mean that people with common sense should be punished. Ask Hitler and Stalin how gun control worked for them you commie!!! Until you or your family is put in immediate danger from a criminal with no way of defending yourself or others you will NEVER know what gun rights mean.......

The only reason why WWII went on for so long is the fact that Hitler and Stalin took away the right to bear arms. Then pressured all the like minded countries around them to do the same. From the wonderful words of Mr. Heston. "From my cold dead hands". The fundamental purpose of the Second Amendment is so the people (that would be us) would have the right to force a change of government (that would be "them") when the government went haywire. NEVER NEVER NEVER, will the right bear arms be taken away. The day that it does. I'm pointing my 30-06 at the nearest politician and starting my own damn revolution.

You are right, I meant semiautomatic rifles, and I still think Heather looked hot with her new accessory. She should get black gator leather gear to wear with it. She's too cool to be cruel. I love Heather

hey thank you! All I was trying to do here was see just how many normal people we have left in this world. I am totaly in to the idea of a protest to try and help our state of Illinois get the "concealed carry" law passed! The country is so much better off with guns for protection, hunting, sport and of coarse the most important on like you stated for when the goverment goes haywire. I think the goverment is on the brink of going totaly nuts. They want to control our everyday life. And remember this all you anti-gunners, Once they take any of our Gun Rights Away it is just that much easier for them to start taking away our other rights.

Don't bother getting yourself a newspaper because you are obviously blind and deaf. Everyone has heard or read about the coward who shot and killed people at FT Hood yesterday and it is obvious that he would have killed a lot more if "people with guns" had not shot him at least four times to stop him. The bad guys will always break the gun laws so good people had better be armed and ready.

While you are at it, take the guns away from the cops, at least the cops in Highland, everyone would be safer then. Only in Highland do cops let people commit suicide while in custody.

I would like to clearify a few things about my stance on guns. I have no problems with a well armed and trained police force and military. Just maybe not Highland's ( see previous post). It was a police officer that took down and ended the Ft. Hood disaster, not some hayseed half cocked hillbilly from Highland!
