The unidentified girls, whose ages were not given by police, were walking about 9:40 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Northwest 45th Street, when two men in a newer model, gold, four-door car drove up to them, police said.

The men got out of the car and demanded the girls' belongings, police said.

The vague but "telling" description of the pair who held up the girls was less than truthful; if the article didn't mention "dreadlocks" then we wouldn't have known the race. There is a time when, dealing with crimes and descriptions, that race DOES become an issue. This is one of those times.... are we to guess???
