It would be hard not to giggle at some of the "stuff" you see come up in that waiting room. Have some pride people and take a shower and put clean clothes on that cover your body before going to the doctor/dentist or just in public period!!

they are a joke.that office needs to be closed just the like the dental office was... they talk about everybody down there. but they all need to take a good look in the mirror. i wouldn't take my dog to that office....

I think we are lucky to have health source in our area. Those of you with medical cards should be very thankful since the waiting room is full of folks with them.

They might talk about everybody but isn't that what you are doing on here???

let me tell you something i work every day... I don't sit on my ass and collect a check or medical card....i work 2 jobs to send my son to college.. not everyone is like that. must have hit a nerve...what you work there?

It's called HIPpa !!! They still shouldn't be talking about there pts or pt information And it shouldn't be overheard. It's breaking the law and they can be sued if someone wants to pursue it or the wrong person hears it!!! They then might be the one looking for the job. They need to respect their pts!!!! It's a federal law. Look it up - Hippa.

I'm a patient there. I don't have a medical card, but they have sliding scale fees for folks like me. I am thankful they are here. I'm paying half for tests and doctor visits what I was paying a Mercy for just the doctor visit.

That said, they are wrong if they're discussing these cases where patients can hear them. If I had a husband, he wouldn't be allowed to have my info unless I signed a paper to that effect. I'm pretty sure some stranger knowing my business violates the privacy laws.

Also, defining people by the use of a medical card is ignorant.

Yes, I'm glad someone else brought up Hippa. Someone needs to tell Becky Gilliam when she runs that suck of hers, shes violating Hippa regulations and could get in big trouble for it.

I have never worked for health source. If I felt my medical confidentiality was being betrayed I would contact a manager, not report it on topix.
