Will the next treasurer report include the check that was written to pay for an outstanding bill the President, Ruth, had at her old residence, so that her daughter could move into it?? The rumor circulating is that the current treasurer was visited at her home late in the evening by Renna, and told to write a check so they could pay this outstanding bill. How come the rest of the group wasn't informed on this?? All comments welcome, I'd love to hear the explanation for this one.

You people are just amazing. NO that is not true. HCBA helps people all the time with utility bills, food, gas money, funeral needs, toys, coats/hats/gloves, school supplies, etc. We have helped several families with utility bills so far this year and I'm sure there will be more next year. GO TO A MEETING!! Better yet, shut your computers down spend some time with your kids and leave people alone that do good in this world.

It seems there would be a conflict of interest if the organization was helping its own members in this way, although I'm sure it happens. It looks like you have a convenient excuse already worked out "We help people all the time with bills" leaves the door wide open to dip into the pot when needed. What criteria do people have to meet to be helped, and who decides it? But how dare anyone question this, instead they should spend time with their children right? Nobody who posts something negative could possibly be a good parent.

Old saying "you reap what you sow?" Do unto others, comes to mind also.

You know what I just bet you are right. I heard HCBA has a million dollars to give away to the needy. They meet secretly at midnight every week to distribute it behind peoples backs and in secret so that no one can pick up on their generosity.

Do you need help is that why you are complaining and questioning? Did we miss someone's request in our secret meetings held in Hallsville very week at Midnight? If so we are so sorry and will try to get to it tonight.

Santa has kept us pretty busy though helping the needy children through not only our means but toys for tots, other county agencies and the churches. So you get in line after him.

Giving not taking, praise not ignorant questions and opinions, hmmmmmmm novel idea. Guess we could all use a little bit of that.

Oh and there is a homeless family that could sure use a place to live and warmth for their 2 kids. Can you help with this one?
Sounds to me like

You are EXACTLY right!! This happens quite frequently with officers and family members of officers. This wasn't a family "in need", it was a utility that had been shut off for awhile and she didn't even live there anymore.

ANSWER THIS RENNA OR RUTH: Who decided to do this? Did anyone else know or agree to it? You can sure type paragraph after paragraph of useless coverup, but can you answer those two questions???????

AND NO.......I am not associated with the city in any way, every time someone questions you...you immediately assume it must be the city, same old trick to let others believe you are always picked on by them, trying to change the subject. However, I have been asked to buy things from HCBA, and therefore I would like to know just who and what for these donations are going. Because personally I have NO DESIRE to help out certain members because they can't manage their finances, which seems to be the same ones over and over. I feel that is exactly what is happening.

You constantly respond with "go to a meeting", then how come none of us members that go to these meetings know about any of this either? YES, I am a member, and I've never heard anything about this, and I want to know. I do not want to be associated with this group if this stuff is going on and nobody but those involved knows anything about it. I'm sick of it. We're always called on to help raise money and do stuff for the group, but when it comes to this kind of stuff we have no say or no knowledge for that matter. It's mind blowing that they even have the nerve to try to do this stuff after the groups history with money issues.

Then you would have to be Mary, Ruth, Mike, Dora, Jennifer, or Rebecca. Those were the members present at the meeting where the funds were actually discussed about how we help out the needy. So if you went then who are you?
