I feel pretty sure that businesses are paying their share of taxes. If they know ways to get around filing somethings than more power to them. I have to say though that the language and sentence structure in the previous post is positively atrocious. That being said, if a person puts a sign out advertising the fact that can can "do odd jobs, minor home repairs, roofing, lawn maintenance, etc." , then it is obvious with the economical times being what they are at the moment, then they are apparently trying to supplement their income. These people are niot require to file a 1099 until they have reach a certain amount of income from their side jobs. I believe that amount is somewhere around $600.

well what a big liarer u are. How about a man in hickory that has a Roofing business that dont even report his income at all. That Is A known FACT.People like that trys to get around the tax people on tax day. When you make money from people u do a job from, that is considered income, dont matter what amount it is.If the check is written in his name or your;s, for what job he has done, that is income. He might be working 4 a contractor but he also does jobs for the public and makes money, that's not turned in or not reported to the IRS.I believe the banks are starting to get wise to this situation and are helping the irs out in tracking these people. So now people will start putting the checks in other family members names, or spouse's names. The irs will have all information down patt, so go ahead smart ass Mrs.Liar know it all.Papers in the past should be turned in from 1997-to 2010. Maybe the government will collect there cars and there home both might have. Irs knows where the money is coming from. just sit back a wait and see "Wow"

I know a man in Hickory who has been doing this for years and now the IRS is after his ass. He was working under another man's contractor's license, not reporting his full income, leaving out some 1099's when he filed, and was making mega bucks. However, he was only turning in about $10,000 a year in income, using people names as dependents (and got caught up with on that one), while he was actually earning over 100,000 a year. When the IRS comes down on this man, he's in for some major trouble and probably some felonies, also! I wonder if he likes prison? He may be headed there and probably will lose everything he's got. When he gets out of the pen, he will probably be driving a likker sikkle and his family will be living in a cardboard box. Oh well, if you are stupid enough to try and shit the government, you will get what you asked for. I hate paying taxes but I know that the IRS is smart and will come after evaders. Therefore, I pay what I'm supposed to pay. And, BTW, I DO have a contractor's license and DO pay my taxes, unlike ole dishonest "thinks he's the shit", in Hickory.
Does this man and his wife live on Old Shelby Road and smokes pot and sells it to. I wonder how he has so much. Turn him in

from what u have read it appears that there may be more than one government agency contacting you . Is it true that u hide money in other peoples names and fail to report income in order to continue receiving benefits . Its carma , enjoy yours! Sooner or later , apparently more than one person is fed up with ur shit and i think its hilarious. i am enjoying this and dont care who knows it

I believe that the government is cracking down on people not filing under the table money, and getting away with it.
