As a business owner I do my research. I never make snap decisions. If I don’t understand something like “legalese” then I go home and look it up or find someone who can. If they really want my business they’ll respect the time I need to make those decisions. Plus I always shop around. There are far too many other options out there. I know what I want, but that doesn’t mean I have to go right now and get it. I can wait for the sale, coupon, special, promotion, etc.

I am sorry that you got cheated, but you always have the option to say “No” or “I need more time to reconsider this.” Even if it’s a sale they’ll usually hold the price/ contract for two days to give you time to review it. Let’s face it a sale is a sale they are still making money.

As a side note: While I was going to school I worked at the country club where he was a member. He, his, wife and children are some of the rudest and most inconsiderate people I’ve met. They could care less about professionalism or courtesy. I’m just saying from personal interactions with him and his family. If he couldn’t teach his own children manners then it only stands to reason that he wouldn’t take the time to teach his employees. That’s why the staff is so dirty, underhanded, and unprofessional. As a business owner he puts off “only the bottom line matters” attitude. Perhaps they have changed in 15 years, but from the sound of it nothing much has.
