Hope the nurses get what they want, heck double their wages, health care bills will just go up, its like a tax, the business passes the cost to the consumer. Then the same people on here will complain about the cost of health care.
I too hope they get what they want.
I will not complain about the cost of health care. Health care to me is the Nurse,Doctor,or Aids, who actually provide the service. I will complain however about insurance costs, they are the ones who pass the costs to the consumers; these companies are what will drive this country to accept socialized medicine, not the nurses wages.
These companies are immune to financial ups and downs as they ALWAYS post HUGE profits because they just pass any costs on and tack on a little more for good measure. They are nothing more than carpet baggers.
Yes it is like a tax, but a tax imposed by corperate billionares not nurses wages.
Please don't explain how they are businesses and they must make a profit to stay in business and all that crap I'm not against profit but I am against rape and these companies are raping America. They will make more money off any nurses raises (or whatever costs are incured as a result of this issue) than the nurses will.

These bums will find any excuse to sit at home, doing nothing, yet still collecting a paycheck. Fire them all!!!!!
Really, are nurses anything more than a glorified janitor? Let's face it, most moms do more at home taking care of their kids with a box of bandaids and cough syrup from the local drug store than these bums do all day.
Don't go to the hospital during your next emergency then. Genius

One more thing, you DO NOT collect a Paycheck while on strike.

If they dump the union they will lose alot of pay and benefits. The union is what keeps there pay at a livable wage. Without unions in this nation and the threat of unions coming into a place businesses would lower wages and lower benefits faster then you can imagine. Where I work is union and has been fro many decades. Our bosses flat out told us straight if there was no union our wages would go down ALOT. That is FACT. Unions keep the workingclass from being poor.
Without the unions, they would be making lousy wages and have no benefits. I am originally from MN, went to RN school in TX, work in San Antonio. They start new RN's here at a little over half of what one makes up there. And guess what you get? Horrible care, high turnover, people with no motivation to do anything. Can't wait to get my year experience and head back to a union state. I used to bash unions too, until I worked in a right to work state. Let me tell you, it sucks. Appreciate where you live and what those nurses do for you.
