Maybe so, but he automatically, by association, carries more baggage that either Roach or Clinton.

NOT A CHANCE ! Isn't he related to the former chief deputy who went to jail for shooting up a house ? No more good old boy sheriffs in this town. Elect him and eddie could be chief deputy again. DISASTER !

I agree, Bear is a good man!!!("ABB") "Vote Bear, he's fair", a man that not only UNDERSTANDS Towns County, the CITIZENS of Towns County along with their needs and wants in a sheriff. A man with over 25 "CONSECUTIVE YEARS" in law enforcement, who has worked in every capacity you can possibly imagine; detention officer, deputy sheriff, detective, school resource officer, narcotics officer and currently the citizen's of Baldwin's (city of Habersham county)Police Chief.

"Bear" is a man that understands budgeting and who CAN & WILL bring several resources to our community via the NETWORKING of/with other agencies that he has created over the YEARS. "Bear" is a man that understands that WE (Towns County) are primarly a "retirement community" and with that comes the elderly who "live on fixed incomes". Do you want a sheriff who CLAIMS to have saved the "tax payers" approx.$65,000.00 yearly (by returning it to the govern authority) and who CLAIMS that his (astronaumical) turnover rate in deputies, is due to being UNABLE to match what neighboring counties are able to offer? or< Do you want a sheriff who will minimize the CURRENT size of the department (BIG GOVERNMENT)and give the GRUNTS in the ditch (deputies)the pay that WE (the people) ARE ABLE to provide our local deputies which would be competetive with neighboring counties, WHILE ensuring the job of SHERIFF is productively, proactively and safely being fulfilled?

"Bear" is also a man that has compassion toward man kind and understands that as a law enforcement officer, we have young people to deal with, lead, inspire and encourage to do the right things and make the right choices in life. Even though "Bear" had a wonderful "upbringing" and some of the greatest parents anyone could ask for, he is also mindful that in todays world MOST children DO NOT have what was given to him and attempts to mentor to them via the CAREER he has chosen, as a law enforcment officer. PLEASE allow "Bear" to LEAD us through our local journey as Towns County's Sheriff? Folks... EXPIERENCE AND LEADERSHIP COUNTS!!!

How many relatives does Bear Osburn have and which church does he belong to? Those things, not qualifications, experience, honesty, employment history or even moral character, decides who gets elected in Towns County.

I agree Bear is a good person for the ones of you that know him, you know he is not like others that you compare him too. If you have any Questions maybe you all should contact him and ask these question and not start rumors. get the facts before you judge.

Being a wantabe politician, what he might say may or may not be anywhere near the truth! And WTH, would you REALLY expect him to say that he's a hot-head, just like his brother, or that he's dishonest, or that he's anything but as pure as the driven snow and would make a good sheriff?

Come on,(almost) nobody is that naïve. Show us proof, NOT a political press hand-out.

What you wrote above could apply to the current sheriff or anyone else running for any office for that matter. What any of them say may or may not be anywhere near the truth.
Get proof, as you say, concerning any of them. I bet you would find it nearly or totally impossible.

It's like next year's Georgia/Florida game. People pick their favorite team and yell and scream and even fight and say things that aren't true or are half-truths - it doesn't matter who wins, just so they have a good time, get to let off some steam and live a fantasy. They don't realize that a "fan" is just someone who has the price of a ticket, or vote.

Well first do you know who bear's brother is? I quess not because he not hot- headed at all, and it not Eddie if that is who you are referring to, so find out facts first and proof as you say.

No, Dumbo, but we can judge you by your moronic punctuation.

Matters of the heart take an unexpected turn today. You might be strongly attracted to someone you've never looked at twice until now, or you could fall for someone who's much older or younger than you. If you're already involved in a relationship, either you or your partner will want to make it more exciting and spontaneous. Is this a suggestion that will go down well?
