""I couldn't even go jogging with my son," resident Gil Christo said. "it was too wild, too crazy. I didn't want him to see any of that."

OMG AGAIN Miami politicians have failed us . We need the federal gvm't to step in and take over this ill run banana republic so that us law abiding good citizens can feel safe again .

So much violence in Miami-dade yet we continue to reelect self serving banana Cuban politicos like Commissioner Jose Pepe Diaz and than we have the audacity to complain when things get worse..

Well done by the police, at least the drunk will think twice before he again drives while intoxicated and kills an innocent bystander.

I can see why you would say this because the article is poorly written but the drunk was NOT shot instead an innocent bystander was shot by police.

If up to me all drunk drivers would be shot so we agree on that but this article was confusing as poorly written and the drunk was never shot.

Read it again you'll see.

You will have accidents of any kind when turbulence of these magnitude occur, there is no way of avoiding it and the police need and will always take action to control certain disruptions occurred by the society in which we live.
We need to thank the police if not for them god knows how awful it would be with out them. I for one was held up a few years back and if not for the police god knows where I would be today.

I'm not a fan of Urban Week either, but there really is something wrong with the Miami Beach cops.
I was out on the beach one night a couple years ago and a cop on an ATV came at me at full speed and missed me by a couple inches. Then he turned around and did the same thing again!
It's evident that there are a bunch of incompetent
cops with sadistic tendencies in that department and it's tolerated at the very top, based on the number of these kind of incidents I read about.
Anybody else have problems with Miami Beach cops?
