4 Some people just don't understand the difference between weather (local and current) and climate (world wide and long term). Or, some people assume that whatever is happening in their own backyards is happening all over the world. |

1 Only in the sense that climate is determined by trends in weather over large areas and over vast amounts of time. A cold spell in much of North America does not alter the fact that mean global temperatures are rising. Here's a concrete example for you: suppose you have a rainy/cloudy week in the Mojave desert. That does not mean that the desert region is not hot and dry because, for most of the time, it is. The rainy/cloudy week is weather, the hot and dry is climate. Get the difference? |

1 Don't bother trying to educate these morons. They flunked out the first time around. They will believe it only when it affects them in their own backyards; the world at large does not exist in their pea brains. |

I saw a graph I'll have to find the link, but it said that since 1998 the world temperture on average has remained flat no increase in temp. If world wide temps start to decrease can we then quit talking about global warming, or would that also be a result of global warming? |

1 My pea brain tells me that we are heading into another ice age which should cool things off considerably. Natural disasters like volcanos have contributed far more to the earth's climate changes than human beings. Read about Minnesota's natural history to see how major warming and cooling has effected our local climate since the end of the last ice age, about 10,000 years ago. Natural climate change tells my pea brain that it was not man made. |

Global warming is a hoax--and you know it. Man has no ability to change the climate of the earth. If not man-made global warming, what caused the end of the last ice age? |
