I am very sorry for your loss. I have prayed for you since I read this on line. I agree with your comments concerning the jury verdict. I will continue to pray for you and your family.

It is a shame that a young girl has lost her life, but thankfully the jury saw the innocence of a wonderful man who certainly meant for none of this to happen. As a loving father himself, Greg has also been grieving for the family's loss of their daughter. He in no way intended to flee the scene of the accident, and was the only person to make a 911 call in hopes of saving the young woman's life.
Greg has been sick over all of this - not because he was concerned of his own fate or how the outcome of the trial would affect his family, but because he is associated with the fatality of another human being. Unfortunately others outside of this situation are labeling this incredible person a "killer" and accusing him of attempting to flee the scene of a crime. It is my hopes that some of you out there can keep an open mind and trust in the decency of Greg's character. Take time to reflect on yourself - picture driving home after dropping off your son one night and in one instant, having your entire life changed because someone wearing all black riding a bike with no reflectors at nighttime, pulls into your lane and you accidentally strike her with your car.
We are blessed that this jury understands that United States law confirms a person is innocent until proven - beyond a shadow of a doubt - otherwise. God forbid anyone of you out there find yourself in this situation, I pray you will have a jury as just as this one.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family who lost their loved one. My heart remains with Greg's family in hopes they are one day able to move past all of this, and that Greg may fully forgive himself.

i was a juror at this trial. all the evidence and witnesses pointed to mr moyer being at the scene of the accident and he helped the young lady as much as he humanly could. we were split when we went up into the deliberation room and finally after over an hour came to the not guilty decision. he WAS at the scene of the accident from the time she was hit to the time that the cops took him. AND the accident is NOT fully mr moyers fault. who expects a bicyclist to be in there lane as they are driving at 930 at night? not i...we had to be unanimus and to tell you the truth i was NOT budging on my decision to give the not guily verdict. i feel that the not guilty verdict was just.

I knew Autumn and am sad about what had happened, but at the same time I feel knots in my stomach when I read all of these ppl saying that the guy should be killed, should be locked up, because my friend told me about her taking drugs that night. So the guys not all to blame. I feel that it was just a wrong place at the wrong time thing. Prayers go out to both sides for me. It gots to be hard on the guy having to live with that kind of thing.

He was driving drunk! Everyone knows that doing so means you might kill someone. He is guilty of Murder. I cannot believe this is a misdemeanor. It is clear that the jury was sympathetic to the driver of the car, rather than the bicyclist.

I was at the trial, And it seems to me she was being chased by the 2 guys in the car and was trying to get away. They both said that she turned into the guys lane of travel. They also said it was dark and she had dark clothing on, So I'm show there is fault on both sides. I feel bad for all involved.

to kaaaaatie and fair he was driving drunk he has a habit of getting drunk and abusing people I know first hand I was a former neighbor of his and had to move because of his lack of respect for his neighbors. this poor girl thought it was safe to cross the road the gates were coming down and any person would think it would be safe you don't expect the person to go under the gates as they are coming down and run you down. HE WAS DRUNK!!!! When you drink and get behind the wheel of a 3000 pound vehicle and drive what do think is gonna happen??? Oh yea he's a loving father that's why some of his kids can't stand to live with him. Oh he's so loving that's why I heard his girlfriend cry for help when he was knocking her around! PLEASE!!! Give me a break he should be charged with murder. It's so easy to put blame on the dead girl. Oh and as for you hope none of us have to go through this type of situation i would stand up and admit to doing wrong and take my punishment! the DUI laws in this state need to be changed it is ridiculous that this is a misdemeanor the bastard will probably only get 3 days in jail. When Autumn has not gotten to live another day.Mr Moyer may not have much, but I hope Autumn's father wins his civil suit and takes every thing Mr. Moyer has, because Mr Moyer took something away that can never be replaced!A LIFE!!!

The facts are cold and hard. This man may as well have taken a gun and put it to my neice's head and pulled the trigger! The fact is Moyer disregarded the rail crossing signals, hit my neice and killed her with his vehicle! Fact is he did leave or attempt to leave the scene. Fact is he may very well have been drunk. Fact is I don't care if he has kids, a wife or if he is a SAINT! He broke laws here and gets a slap in the wrist!!! While my beautiful 19 year old neice, just starting out in life, becoming a young lady is dead? Her presence will sorely be missed. This is JUSTICE??? To the juror who commented: How can you sleep at night? Did you ever lose a loved one in such a violent manner? Almost every one of her bones in her body were broken, her skull fractured, her brain dead! Who expects a vehicle to jump the crossing rails after they have come down when they are riding a bike? At night or at any time? This is FAIR!-you think this is justice?! Wake up! Wow, now the Judge can sleep at night too, he gave Moyer a few days in jail, if he even serves that. Unbelievable. Poor Autumn. I really loved her. I will miss her always. What a loss, what a CRIME!

Someone's got a case of little man syndrome. Take a deep breath, relax, turn the gun around and do us all a favor. Your comments make you sound like an ideot. Your family wouldn't have they're revenge, they probably don't even like you. I'm SO glad that you were on scene at this incident "Galvodog6", like the rest of everyone in this forum who passed judgement. You weren't on the jury so what you say doesn't mean sh*t. You write all of this, but in real life your probably a middle aged pu$$y with nothing better to do than talk a bunch of sh*t online where nobody knows who you really are. Get a life!

Get a life! i dont need to be on the jury nor the scene of the accident... DUI or DWI is plain and simple... the moment h gets behind the wheel he neglected his responsibility... being a bronx italian... yes, my family would have their justice within time for situation like this... and i'm not passing judgement on the man.. only God does that... i'm simply trying to arrange the meeting

I guess that means that none of you have EVER had a drink at a resturaunt or bar with dinner and then drove home afterwards? Think about it. It could of happened to anyone. Your right its still DUI, and thats what he got charged with. Apparently, 12 people who have a clearer understanding of what happened decided that DUI was not the leading cause of the young womans death.

I misspoke when I said he may have been drunk-he WAS drunk. He had 2 open cans of beer in his vehicle to boot. He DID ignore the rail crossing signals. He HAD to be traveling at a high rate of speed to kill someone so violently. He DID NOT stop immediately. My neice was riding her bike. She was on her way home to her DAD and her FAMILY. She is the innocent victim here, as are we, her family. I do not agree with Mr. Revenge here making those crazy comments- but I do want JUSTICE. Look that word up. And for the record-I NEVER EVER DRINK AND DRIVE! It is against the law. It is dangerous. It is IRRESPONSIBLE!...and someone could get hurt or worse...and they do every day in America, just go to MADD's website and look up the stats! Better yet put yourself in the victim's shoes. How would you see things then? Would you still think this is just?

How would you see things then? Would you still think this is just? yes, i get a little extreme...its my NY blood..my point is that he was negligent.. i am not arguing that we cant drink nor am i saying the victim is at fault or innocent.. i said i am from NY,,, if this had happened here....guilty or innocent, the first thing they would do is impound the vehicle from the driver and it doesnt get returned...then the driver should pray that his victim isnt italian or albanian...revenge eventually gets messy...i've even known for judges and ADAs to get 'touched' in cases like this... the moment he touched that car door with alcohol in his system... he is guilty of negligence...

I hope every time Mr.Moyer closes his eyes he sees Autumn's face and he is haunted the rest of his life. Drunk driving is not a mistake, it is a choice. He made that choice. He made the choice not to wait for the train, and I believe he made the choice to try and run from the scene I don't care what the jury decided.I hope he suffers the rest of his life for it! To Autumn's family you are all in my prayers.I hope as time passes each day becomes alittle easier for you.Just keep remembering the good times you shared with her.
