"I have been" instead of "I Am" is a blatant attempt to deceive just like in John where it say "A God" its blasphemous

An interesting concept I stumbled across. "Would the JWs resort to stoning to death an individual if present day laws allowed this?" I understand that a 1953 Watchtower article says YES! I was a JW for 40 years and certainly have met my share of seriously unhinged JWs. I would ask that question of some of them and the glassy eyed salivating affirmative answers I received sent a chill down my back. Can you see it now on the sign out front of the hall.
KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESS THUR:7PM-9PM SUN 10AM-12PM PUBLIC STONING EVERY 2ND SATURDAY Can anyone confirm this was printed in the Watchtower? cultbane50@verizon.net |

Actually, when I was disfellowshiped or disasociated though it was very depressing and lonely in a way was also very liberating and somewhat of a relief for me. I t really made me realize that this could not be "the truth" because God would never treat a young person who was repented after making a mistake in such a way.
Since then I have remained highly spiritual though I do not and WILL NOT attend any church mostly for the fact that I believe God resides in our hearts and not in a building. |
|
What type of a relationship do you have with God? I realize that you are still under the influence of JWs, who have disdain for the church. Basically, the word "church" refers to those who have been called out of darkness into the light of God's Word, whose sins have been forgiven. The church is composed of broken people who have come to be fixed and equipped by God through the different spiritual gifts that come from the Holy Spirit. Your starting point is to have a relationship with God by confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord, Roman 10:8-10. You must be born again, John 3:5-7. Please read I John 3 the whole chapter. Follow in the steps of Jesus, by continuing in the teachings of the disciples of Jesus. There is nowhere in the Bible where it says the church is a building. Are you aware that Jesus taught God's word in the fellowship of believers in synagogues? Kindly read the book of Acts in order to understand what church is all about. You may also read Hebrews 10:25, which emphsizes fellowship with other believers. Remember, the Apostles were not lone rangers either. May God bless you. |

You know Lana,I thought the same thing but the truth is,I was still afraid to enter another church because of the brainwashing I received all my life from the JWs. Going to a really good Church with a warm and inviting church family has healed alot of old wounds, the Scripture that says " do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together as others do" Is pointing towards all of the benefits of our need for Christian fellowship and the strength that comes from it as we get closer to the End. besides you'll find that your experiences can help others but not if you don't make yourself available. Don't keep your spiritual gifts to yourself,Church isn't ALL about you,it's also about those you touch :) |

i don't know if christain mother is still alive, i just discovered this page recently, i noticed from your explanation that you don't have much facts to blackmail JW. most of the points u mentioned are even wrong... to me u lack knowledge who knows u could be satan's agent... I don't want to study with the witnesses before but u have raised the curiosity in me now and am determined to search more abt them

I do not understand what you mean by blackmail. Are you in the Watchtower Society? I am willing to respond to your questions. |

Hi, I'm 16 years old. I have been studying for about 4 years. I'm am not baptized. I have given 2 talks. I did not choose to become a witness. My mom, who had her sister pass away, joined the organization. Me being the oldest sibling, was "forced" by my mom to become a publisher. When I was asked if I wanted to be a witness I knew my answer was no. I couldn't say no this far. At first it wasn't so bad. I was actually enthusiastic. Time passed and I started to see the hypocrisy in the congregation. Baptized brothers would curse, when we played a game violence would occur, they excluded some people out of "parties." I started to comment less and until it became a habit of not bothering to study. Now I feel like leaving the organization. I am also confused as to why hours must be counted when we preach. Must love for Jehovah be counted in hours and how much time you preach? I've seen pioneers go out in service just to make up missing hours. This is not just. Preaching is suppose to be done for love, not hours. Now I want to leave, but how do I so it? How do I get the courage to tell the congregation and brothers? What's next? Will I lose the possibility of eternal life? Will I have to preach to earn life? Must I attend a new church or religious group? Can I form my own opinions and base my life on them? If I can, do I preach them? How can I live with my family if I leave the organization? My greatest fear is the loss of eternal life. What if I leave and it turns out to be the actual truth? Please send me your opinions and answers to: kingrey18@yahoo.com Thanks! |

Reply, A Trnitarian called Johan Henze has asked me to answer the John 8:58 question and mentioned your name! All the Trinitarians I have come across cannot effectively answer the temporal statement and reply in John 8:58! Please look at the link below from the BBC Christian forum, where every Trinitarian denies the Greek and Hebrew behind "ani hu" and "ego eimi" they even try to associate "go eimi" with the LXX! http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbreligion/NF2213235... If you can effectively challenge the contents of the above link, which is the shortened version and be very specific with the grammar and syntax etc, I will become a Trinitarian again! In the link below to my papers, you will find a more indepth and expansive view of John 8:58 (and other matters) pleae scroll down to pages 3 an 4 which afre parts 1-6 on John 8:58. Reply, Helo Joseph, You will find that there are those ignorant of the original Greek and Hebrew, who haeve litle understanding of semantics and syntax, who use sad stories as an excuse and focus solely on JW's, but neglect apostate Christendom and use emotional blackmail like tactics to try and persuade others on to the sad side! All congragations have prolems of one sort or another, just as they had in the first century and today is no exception and apostates and the deluded forget this and focus just on the modern congragations and at the same time forget their own delision and sectarianly divided Christendom with her thousands of divided sects and complete lack of her unity...they are as ignorant and biased as they come and the BBC Christian forum is full of them! Dear Mr Wilson,I cannot tell you how much of a grave mistake it will be to pursue the Witnesses and I know I am only a stranger on a Message Board but I do care very much about protecting people from the Witnesses. They do Blackmail people who were in their organization and learn the Truth about their Scriptural lies by Effectively using any family members that you Recruit against you.. You see that's the first thing they do is push you to bring in your family members and I see now Satans plan in it because if one of the members leaves because they find the scriptural innacuracies then they use the other family members against you by what is called "Disfellowshipping" which is Shunning. You are no longer allowed to have ANY contact with the Shunned individual until that person goes back to the Organization... The trouble with that is,once you see the truth, how can you believe the lies. It is very effective because everyone wants to have their family and friends and it is truly the hardest decision you will ever make should you choose to leave and it is their hope that through this Blackmail they can control you. |

Reply, This is nonsense! Also, what do you think of Trinitarian translations belonging to your fragmented Christendom, consisting of (literally) thousands of so called Christian sect ad the brainwashed, which have had God's name removed deliberately from most of their bibles, so as to hide that name from bible readers? Ex 9:16 KJV Satan has his little helpers and ministers of light! PS, There are a lot like you around, sucked in and believe just about anything soon fed to you! |
Hi I have recently gotten marrried to a JW&is considering getting baptisted. Their are alot of questions I have because everytime I ask my mother in law questions, her answers are very vague. |

The point is that Jesus Christ said he was before Abraham and Adam did not.
Jesus Christ was therefore obviously making a statement that he "was" (existed) before Abraham and still "is" (still exists). Adam did not make this statement. Obviously Jesus Christ was not making a chronilogical statement here but a declaration of his eternal sovereignty. I hope this helps. (a saved aetheist) |

How can people come to your door and tell you they "have the truth" when they have been so wrong so many times. Then they say "they saw a new light" Well, they told me they had the truth when they didn't. Subsequently, why should I expect that they have it now. After everything they tell me, what happens when we discover they are wrong again OOOOOPS! " We just saw a new light again" Give it up JW's - we are on to you. There isn't anything you have that is truth. Only 144,000 of your witness go to heaven? Do the rest of us think that is what God would be about? Besides, I heard that they are well over that number now of people that have that heavenly hope. How do they explain that? How do they explain the incorrect translations of their own bible, that by the way, was not translated by any biblical scholars. God created man to be a free thinker. Jw'S take away that right. They walk around like zombies repeating only what the watchtower allows them to say. How could people be so stupid to allow such control over their lives, especially such nonsense.

Hello! I see that you are an ex-Jehovah's Witness. If you are looking for the truth, I would like for you to consider the churches of Christ. Unless most denominations and Jehovah's Witnesses, if you have a Bible, preferably the King James, then you have all you need. Churches of Christ follow God's word. You will never be taught from anything else other than the Bible. The preacher does not have authority over the congregation. Ergo, any member can challenge whatever is taught from the pulpit. Each congregation of the church is ruled by elders. The elders rule their congregation and their congregation only. There is no headquarters for churches of Christ for Christ is each elder's head. Each congregation in essence is its only headquarters. You will not read of wives being beaten up, child molesters, in churches of Christ. Elders have no authority over the home but wife beaters and pedaphiles do not have a haven in churches of Christ. Elders cannot tell a husband and wife what to do or how to run their home. Elders can suggest but the Bible in Ephesians 5 states that the head of each husband is Christ. However, wife beaters and child molesters will be turned into the police. I challenge you to search the internet or wherever about the purity of churches of Christ. Divorces within the church are low. Marriages within the church generally last a life time. Women are treated with great respect within the church. Bible scholarship is highly valued within the church. Members of churches of Christ was well known for their Bible knowledge. Yet members of churches of Christ under the weightier things of judgment, mercy, and faith (Mt. 23:23). Please understand that I am not asking to be a member of the faith but to consider the churches of Christ and study with them. All churches of Christ will study with you. Churches of Christ do not believe in "high pressured" Bible study. Intimidating a convert to Christ is not right nor is it scriptural. If our study is not what you want, members of the church will leave and not come back unless you request it. Romans 16:16 states, "Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you." In Christ's name, I pray you consider this message.

Lana, why will you not attend church? Is if from the brainwashing you receive from the Jehovah's Witnesses? The word "church" is a Bible word. The word "church" is never, never, in the Bible reference to a building! In the Bible, the word "church" is always in reference to the people. The word "church" means those who are called out of the world.
I ask that you consider the churches of Christ. I ask that you be open minded and attend a local church of Christ. You will not find the high-powered atmosphere that you find in evangelical churches. You find a very reverential atmosphere. Churches of Christ are Bible based. If you have a Bible, preferably the King James, you have all you need for learning in churches of Christ. I ask that you consider this: in the first century, according to the Bible, there was an organized religious body. It was the churches of Christ. Read Romans 16:16, "Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you." You do not read of the Catholics, Baptists, Presbyterians, Methodists, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, and even the Jehovah's Witnesses in the Bible. You do read of the churches of Christ. I do not invite you to be apart of the church. I asked that you learn about it and how we teach from the Bible and that we teach all of the Bible. Please ask for a study with a member of the church. Churches of Christ do not do "high pressured" Bible study. We do not believe in pressuring anyone to be a member of the church. Pressuring someone to be a Christian is wrong and unscriptural. If you do not like how the study is progressing, you can discontinue the study at your leisure and we will not approach you again unless it is at your request. Ergo, please consider the church of Christ. In Christ's name, RayS |
