Yup. With Hershey, it's all about green....

$10 to park
$50 to get in
$10 for a cheeseburger and drink
etc, etc, etc.

A family of 4 needs to take out a loan to spend the day there.

There's more....
The "Plant Tour" , long ago..
was a monorail ride to the back of the plant,
and a walking tour of upper level hallways with glass overlooks to the production areas.

Not much extra energy used.

Opening CWorld... was a huge energy draw..
so attempting to save a small piece
of self created gluttony now... is just posing.

Oh... and about recycling...
why bother invoking the name of Milton...
in the spirit of recycling efforts...
when his first effort...
was at the age of 80.

Everyone knows there was little to no recycling efforts
in the early 1900s, and that the rivers here ran black.D

Do good things... but don't sugarcoat it like you're doing something wonderful.
Bad Hershey. Bad Hershey.

You seemed to have forgotten that Hershey now makes most of it's candies in Mexico. I haven't purchesed one Hershey product since they started moving jobs to mexico. Everyone should do the same and not buy anything made by Hershey.

I take it you feel they charge a fair price that the local community can afford? Truth is they don't care about local dollars anymore. They want to be Disney World and charge accordingly.

On a completely unrelated note, every time I see your handle I think of that old '70's tune "Funky Town."

It's actually a 'lyric' from Steve Martin's "King Tut"...also from the 70's.

Not to mention that the quality of their products has gone into the dumper. Everything has a chemical aftertaste.

For what they offer yeah its comparable to other parks. No one said HP has to be a weekly destination like 30, 40 or 50 years ago. times changed so did they and they provide way more jobs now then if they had stayed with a "tilt a whirl" and the old turn pike.

Its simple if you dont like it, dont go. You are a complainer.

I complain when I see something wrong. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you always have to. I bet they'd get a helluva lot more folks to visit if they dropped those prices. And I know that a large portion of it has to do with the ridiculous insurance premiums they have to pay...but that doesn't mean that they can't cut prices someplace else. I mean what the hell is that parking fee all about if nothing more than a way to sock you for money since you have no choice but to park in their lot?

Great Adventure ticket =$59.99 add the safari for another $11.99
Hershey =$53.95
Dorney =$45.99
DISNEY WORLD single park =$87.33

All of these places offer discounts to the regular gate price. If you can't do any legwork to find a discount, you do not deserve one. Also, if you cannot afford to go, DON'T. Hershey (and all of the other places as well) are in business to make money. If they do not make money, they do not exist. All of these places continously add attractions and rides. It costs money to do these projects. I know you'd rather have Obama pay for you to go to HP rather than do it yourself.

Hershey also offers a season pass for about $143. That's less than 3 gate admissions. If you were a local and liked to visit HP, that is the way to go.

Anyway, all you ever do is bitch.

For the record, I know that, I can afford it, and I have paid it in the recent past. Doesn't mean it's right.

And all you ever do is bitch about me bitching. Nobody forces you to read my replies. You are free to skip over them if being enlightened about how your being anally raped on a daily basis bugs you so much. Also, I vent here where it doesn't matter, unlike people like you who probably do it constantly in real life where it annoys people within earshot who can't get away from you.

Anal raping is nothing compared to the crap you write.

Like you said when you were a fraternity member "BRING ON THE CONGA LINE (& a little more k&y)!" or "LET'S ALL PLAY TRAIN AND I'LL BE THE ENGINE AND YOU CAN ALL LINE UP BEHIND ME! WHOO WHOO!"
