The younger brother accidentally shot the 19-year-old in the back with a 30 06 riffle. It then went through and through the hip of the 12-year-old. One bullet, two victims.

When they called for help for the 19-year-old, first responders didn't even know that there was a second victim until after the helio was almost there. It could have been a real tragedy.

I'm glad everyone will be OK.

Queen can post, you seem to know more than I have seen in any news post how do you know? I heard it taking place on the scanner and wondered why they called a 2nd helicopter. Also they said the 2nd victim was 12 the newspapers keep reporting 14. Stoltzfus sounds like maybe an Amish or Mennonite name?

It's an Amish name. there are a lot of Amish in Path Valley.

Why does everyone that posts on here look down towards Path Valley so much? I really dont understand it. Every time something happens in the valley everyone thinks only dumb rednecks live over here. And yes for those wondering the family is amish.

You think they make fun of you in Path Valley? Even you folks in Path Valley make fun of us on the other side of the mountain. But I look at it this way - that means they won't come over here and mess our area up. Suggest you take the same viewpoint.

I always thought Path Valley was a beautiful area. If the people there like you, they would do anything for you. The have a spirit of independence and close community ties which seems to scare outsiders.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Stoltzfus family.

I always thought it was beautiful over there, especially this time of year when the leaves start changing color. No looking down from me. ;)

why would i make fun of that area?? I came from that area. I wish to move back to that area very soon. my grandparents and my mother and two aunts live in path valley. its very beautiful over there. the kind of place i'd like to raise my children.
