West Newton Corruption

What is up with this town? You have a crooked Mayor who is drunk 95% of the time. He always makes sure his friends get away with driving drunk and doing drugs in West Newton. Tell me, how can the Mayor have half his family on borough council? Then you have the Chief of Police who is as corrupt as I dont know what. He is scared to death of his own shadow and is the mayor's little puppet. His wife drives around town, running red lights and stop signs. She is going to kill someone one of these days. Oh yeah, and let's not forget about the donation envelopes she put in the newspaper's she deliver's at Christmas time, reminding us her husband is the Police Chief and basically demanding tips.. Give me a break! Get a real job!

I agree totally with Christa about the corruption in West Newton. What the Mayor is doing is boardering on illegal. I also dont approve of how he pulls people over when he is drunk in his pick-up truck and threatens them by telling them he is a Westmoreland County Sheriff. Who really cares. Drunk Sheriff is more like it. Westmoreland County should be real proud to have a deputy like that working for them.

I feel sorry for the poor Police Officer they just fired because he arrested the Mayor's sister for DUI. She hit 3 people and damaged their vehicles, the man was just doing his job.
But no, the Mayor had council fire him because he would not drop the charges. What a bunch of bullshit.

I see they fired Officer Waller. I told him that was going to happen when he arrested the mayor's friend for DUI.. You new boys better take notes, dont arrest anyone for a crime if they know the mayor or you will be fired. Another words, dont do your job!

If you do something one of the Mayor's friends don't like, you get the boro harrassing you with petty little threats of fines when it is perfectly clear what they are up to because someone else is obviously getting away with what you are being targeted for!

if you want to bitch bout something then go to one of the council meetings. please i am asking you to come and voice your opinion. besides that i really dont care what you got to say becuase you see what happens. becareful with what you say or it could be you next

I live in West Newton I see no problem with the mayor or the police. It is a great place to live.

My nieghbor happens to be friends with the mayor and, he is allowed to park his cooker and van across the street where it is illegal but if I do it for second they say something. JOKE

i agree with the guy about certain people who get away with what they want, because of the people they know in town, like artie, our wonderful so called mayor,must be nice............... get a real job in a city like new york and see how well liked you are loser.

Who is the Mayor and the Police Chief?
I grew up there and travel through a couple of times a week. I see a police car always parked buy the Chevy dealership in the early hours of the morning.

Sucks to see West Newton get such a bad rap. I grew up there until joining the military, now I just drive through every other morning. How about that trailside cafe' being open all night, get my Red Bull there every morning before heading to DC.

The Chief of Police in West Newton is borderline retarted. My 5 year old has a higher IQ than him. He can hardly talk. He has no clue how to be a policeman let alone investigate a crime. And the Mayor is not only a coke head, he is also a seller. How can the people of a town want a drug dealer being their mayor? WAKE UP people of West Newton...
