British couple crossing Tombstone street fatally hit by truck

I am so sorry to hear about the fatal accident of Arthur and Winifred Wilkinson. My husband and I spoke to them the same afternoon in Tombstone. They were a delightful couple and were having so much fun on their holiday and full of smiles. Condolences to the family.

So the city will put frigging speed bumps and stops signs on toughnut for no god damn reason, but no lighting or crosswalks or eeven a stop sign on the busiest street in town now 2 innocent lives are lost due to the cities stupidity, there should be a criminal investigation of the city administration over this incident.

Yeah, I think that may be a state issue rather than a local issue. Fremont Street is a state highway. Not every accident requires a lawsuit. Some are just...accidents.

Charlene, I didn't know your grandmother and her husband, but I know many folks in town including the lady they were staying with. They were adored by everyone whose path they crossed. I am so sorry for your loss!

Highway 80 or Freemont street is a state highway. So any lighting or speed bumps or even the speed limit is done by the state of Arizona. Several administrations and marshals have tried to get the state to make changes on that street. You want to change it put your money where your mouth is and start a petition or a letter writing campaign. But given the state financial situation, I doubt anything will be done. Oh and by the way, the speed bumps are on fifth and forth streets, not toughnut. Toughnut street needs the speed bumps, idiots speed down that steet all the time with people walking down that street.

Hey Chick that has been done numerous times, with all the stupid ass visitors walking down, and those ragged ass stage coaches the Mayor owns running down the middle of toughnut i don't see how anyone can speed. but wait didn't our jerk off of an administration say Tombstone doesn't fall under Arizona state law at a city council meeting so maybe they should pay for it instead of lining there pocket books with our tax dollars!

As for this issue with the British Couple that was killed on Fremont it is a real shame that it happened, and my heart goes out to the Family that lost their parents.
