Homicide On Rochester's West Side

It is so crazy and fearful out here you always worried about family,loveones and friends, Iam always praying for everyone around the world.It like everybody is out of control the kids are fearless they have that I don`t care attitude about life or other it is so sad.They need something for these kids to do with them self,There is no places for are black kids no movies, skating I remember we had all that everything is so far out.We need JESUS to step in!

Coming from an inner city environment, and being raised in the housing projects, I've seen first hand what the ghetto has to offer. It's so much temptation to get involved in negative behavior that most of our young black males fall victim to the violence that's wiping out generations of black males either by homicide or incarceration. Our communities must get involved. I was blessed to grow up with my both of my parents in the home. We may not have had much financially, but we had a solid family foundation that kept me on the straight path. I also had people in my neighborhood that encouraged me and others to make good choices in order to place myself in a better position in the future, and here I am today an educated black man who's trying to give back to our communities. It's all about choices though, because most of my friends I grew up with are either deceased or incarcerated. We must stop destroying each other and embrace one another. That's the gist of what Dr. King was emphasizing to us 45 years ago. We have to do better as a people. God Bless!
