Haha! Oh boy, this is going to light 'em up.
I know what you are talking about though. Anyone taken a drive down East Lamar lately? Are you in Sherman or Mexico City? Signs in spanish everywhere. |

Why has it gotten in our country to where breaking the law is ok. They are breaking our law when they come into our country illegally, and they should be sent back.

1 No. They are the saviors to our aging and retiring workforce. Somebody has to pay for the boomer's retirement. Immigration is our best hope. |

1 Tell that to the jobless folks who can't find a job now...the people who are here LEGALLY. Some of them would gladly take the jobs that the ILLEGALS now have. |

We need random green card checks and more deportings and how in the heck did the boarder patrol manage to let so many immigrants slip threw on up her to north texas hmmm.(me no sabes!)
|

You are right. But don't count on Sherman police to enforce immigration laws. They seem to pamper them. |

most of them are here legally because they con our men into marrying them to get a green card!

Already happened in my hometown, Amarillo, Tx. I worked for United Market Street - they hired illegals. Local contractors hired them. They all say, "well, their paperwork for SS # never came back." Hey, that doesn't mean their SS# is THEIRS. I always ask business people, do you use the government E-VERIFY to check. When I have asked several builders here, they get this look on their faces that tell me, NO they don't cuz they DONT want to know. This is why Texas communities are losing their culture. I really do not blame Mexicans anymore. I blame some of our good old boy TX businesses - guys who go to church every Sunday and then sell out our country by hiring these people. OK, I got carried away. Sorry. I just care about my country - that is all.

The Sherman Police, Denison Police, or any other municipal police agency can do anything about it. They can call ICE, but nothing will happen until the federal government decides to get serious about illegal immigration into our country. It will only get worse.

It's really not a funny subject. When people have to be treated in an emergency room and cannot pay, who pays the bill? When they make up a percentage of your classroom students, how well do your TASP test go? The influx of illegal immigrants comes into your town and works jobs for less than is reasonable, your current unemployment increases. Who pays for the unemployment insurance? Illegal immigration population increases in the Dension and Sherman area will hurt your towns. And, no one will say anthing about it because it's not politically correct. It's not a smiling matter.

i have no problem with legal immigration but if you are in this county illegally you need to be deported. you come over here and immediately get on welfare. so now we (the taxpayers) have to pay for your room, food, education and health care. and to top it off your too lazy to learn to speak english. i'm sorry if this offends somebody but thats the way it is. until homeland security stops putting their focus on terrorists and reopens their holding facilities for illegal aliens ( the one at the grayson county airport was closed) so they can be deported nothing will be done. if you think the grayson county jail is overcrowded now, just start housing all the illegals so they can be deported. this new private (what a laugh) jail they're going to build would have to house at least 15 to 16 hundred inmates and even that might be to small.

If this is in reference to my comment, I'm sorry to disappoint you but not all Hispanics are born in Mexico. I was born in D.C. and as far as the taxpayers supporting me-you do have a point-however Uncle Sam provides for military families and my father did put in his 20 years. I also did some time and now I'm walking around with a cane and popping hydrocodone. As far as being lazy when it comes to speaking English-most Mexican-Americans are bilingual from any early age. Adult immigrants find it harder to learn the language but can understand even if they don't speak it well. When it comes to terrorism, I don't think they would be interested in your town but my town which surrounds Ft. Bliss would be more probable. The only reason that I monitor the news here is because my exboyfriend managed to get his lily-white ass in trouble and I'm trying to find out what's up with him. |

It's incredible to me that they have such an attitude towards the people who have raised their standard of living astronomically! With each one that comes up here our standard of living goes down, and we're supposed to bow down and take it! Meanwhile, they do not have to obey the same laws that we do,no regard to safety on the roads, and various other atrocious acts.

1 It is that white supremacist attitude that gets us in trouble with the rest of the world. While Europeans were running around like cavemen countries like China, India, Rome, Greece and parts of the Middle East were already civilized. Iraq was part of Mesopotamia which is also called the "cradle of civilization." To the Eurocentric, I'd like to remind them that Spain is a part of Europe and Mexicans have Spanish ancestry. Mexico, Guatemala(which used to belong to Mexico) and Peru had great Native American civilizations and have the pyramids to attest to this. They had both solar and lunar calendars. Also Texas was part of Mexico and New Spain as well as other states in the southwest. Then there is the fact that the majority of Mexicans are mestizos (which means that they are mixed with Native Americans). Actually, my great, great-grandfather was supposedly Apache. Apache territory was Arizona, New Mexico, and part of Texas. It also included the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Sonora. My home is within that territory so therefore I don't owe you anything. |
