I've lived in hendersonville over thirty years and I still love it. Like all cities, it has it's problems, but mostly they are a result of rapid growth. We have, overall, a very good police department.

I loved Hendersonville, a lot of growth and IF you obey the law (ughhmmm.."speed traps" only trap those that are speeding) then I can only suppose that having many cops would be a blessing to have around.

How about for retirees? hat are the over 55places like? The ones I've seen advertised on line seem a little pricey. Are all of them that way?

The Hendersonville cops will brake your chops for no reason they run your plate number to see who ownes car and then they pull you over because they think they know who is driving because they know what you have done in the past and if you are not doing anything at the moment they will give you a warning for a lic plate frame that they say is not allowed.

We live in Hendersonville; about 3 months now and I can tell you that I have never seen such a police presence. Their budget has to be the highest in the state. I am concerned driving on VVH with the empty cars setting there and "someone" in the front of a line of cars going 70 mph stands on his brakes and causes the rest of us to almost wreck! Those unmaned cars are very dangerous. Otherwise, I feel safe living here.

It used to be nice before all the new stores and subdivisions went in, traffic is now terrible and it's becoming nearly as polluted as Nashville, because of it. The cops are absolute assholes... They'll harass you for anything they can. Someone needs to start shooting them, maybe then we'll get some resepct. The drugs are good though... Lot's of LSD, meth, and weed. Obviously, prohibition isn't working around here. Your a complete Idiot stop using drugs and loose your criminal reputation and you probably wont be harassed. I live in Goodlettsville and shop in Hendersonville, we have had to call the police several times in hendersonville and they are very helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about hendersonville. The police are everywhere tho. Makes you feel safe. The areas around the lake have some nice homes if you looking to buy a house.

Hendersonville is a great place to live. It was a bit provincial, like Gallatin (just my personal opinion). But the influx of business, especially at Indian Lake and Glenbrook, has transformed it greatly to the positive. Rt. 386 makes getting into Nashville convenient. The police are a real problem here though. There are plenty of them, and they do a good job at patrolling and keeping things safe, I think. But they are out of control presently with the ticketing and harassment. I hope that if we can have a change at the next Mayoral race that situation may clear itself up. Come on up, we'd love to have you.

Don't forget about the 274,135,128 police officers on 24/7 duty pulling you over every chance they get, harassing you and taking your money.
