Bredeson is taking jobs away from private duty nursing as well. He is taking nurses away from severely brain injured people and telling them they will have to go to the nursing home if they cannot be cared for in the home by family members. The patient in particular is a 54 year old man who will waste away in a nursing home. His wife is disabled and is unable to care for him by herself. Not only is he hurting the patient's but the health care workers as well. We have received a weeks notice that we will be out of a job! That's messed up!

Bredesen has told each department to cut costs instead of useing the states "rainy day" fund. If this isn't a rainy day for Tennessee I would hate to see when one does come. The commissioners in each department have overstepped their boundries without considering the consequence. Remember these people are elected by and work for US the public, yet we bear the burden of their mistakes too often.

I think his decision is wise...as far as this being a rainy day...sit back...you haven't seen a rainy day compared to what's about to come. The economy is in pitiful shape and it's going to get worse before it gets better...I think leaving our rainy day fund alone for the time being is a good choice.
