The way some of the largest companies handle the failures of their subsidiary interests, never ceases to amaze me. The closing of Shop at home TV is still a shock though, as I had thought the company was doing quite well but I guess I wasn't looking close enough. I can only hope that the 660 employees will be able to find employment that won't change their lives too drastically. The one thing I don't understand and no one answering the phones at Shop at home seems to know, what happened to the Coin Vault, a very popular show on that network that aired usually in the early morning hours. Personally, I believe this was a very profitable part of their lineup but it has simply disappeared from the website Shopathometv.com

I was very dissapointed to find out that the Coin Vault was no longer on the network. I went to the website and found that the coin tab, normally located on the top right corner of the home page was gone. I called the number and the sales representative told me that they were no longer selling coins. I asked him if there was a particular reason for the stop and he could not tell me why. I assumed that the Coin Vault was doing so well that they might have went out independently, but I guess that is not the case. If anyone has any more information on this topic please post a response.

Shop at Home referred me to "www.silvertowne.com ". They said this site was their coin vendor. Any ideas on how to contact Robert Chambers and Paul Hollis directly?

I am very saddened that COIN VAULT is gone. I cannot believe that "Shop-at-Home Network" would allow COIN VAULT to disappear like this w/o any e-mailing their COIN VAULT regulars to let them know about if they are trying to get them established on another network!
I'm just floored that they would not try to keep going with the ONLY moneymaker in the network. According to COIN WORLD's June 5th article on pg. 3: "'The Coin Vault' is the largest and highest profile show on Shop-At-Home ......the program sold approximately $100 MILLION in collectable coinage last year."
My only hope is that COIN VAULT surfaces on the network that is now broadcasting on what used to be Shop-at-Home, or some other network picks them up and uses the same format that made COIN VAULT a 17 year collectable coinage phenomenon.
OMG!!!!! As I am writing this, the same channel that had Shop-At-Home's COIN VAULT, ie: NOW the NEW Shop At Home Newworks, LLC has just announced the NEW COIN VAULT Show!
And the new website which I'm looking at right now is: www.shopathometv.com/home.jsp
There was someone who listened to the little people!!!!!

I'm disappointed that all they sell now are knives and coins. No more household goods, furnishings, health, beauty, etc. The new jewelry show stinx. And where did all the on-air hosts go?

I was especially sad to see it go. I used to work for them. I worked behind the scenes on the coin vault. It is currently on the air on Jewelry network using the same graphics and the same hosts plus a few. I am glad to see so many Coin Vault fans on here. Good to see we were appreciated. They are still on it may take a little more trouble to find them these days but they should be getting back to somewhat normal soon. I don't know too much about the operation these days.

I've been a multi-year fan of The Coin Vault, and am truly saddened with the make-up of the "new" show. Robert Chambers has allowed the loss of Paul Hollis (who was quite knowledgeable), and is now surrounded with dumb "pups" that pipe in with stupid comments! Pricing went thru the roof and smart collectors should realize their collecting dollars are best utilized elsewhere.
The question still remains - Where is Paul Hollis?

Good question...where is Paul Hollis. He knew is stuff. Much more technical than Chambers. Chambers sell the steak on the sizzle. Hollis, sold the steak to you on taste. They complimented eachother perfectly!!

robert chambers cheated everyone out of their hard earned money. I can't believe you suckers that paid that kind of prices for his common everyday coins he had you believe were real rarities. he's in hiding now so the real numismatists don't get hold of his sorry, lying carcass.

The coin vault is not the same program without Hollis. The new guy, who host the show on Monday prime-time, belongs selling coins in third rate plastic holders like those sold by HSN and AS.
