Will the Lions have any talent this year?

Just wondering what type of Football Team we will have now that most all of the Championship team is gone. Do they have any good talent in the pipeline moving up to varsity this year?

You are so retarded! You have no idea what kind of team this will be. I know many of the athletes on the team who say the talent level has not diminished. In fact, Texas Football magazine ranks them No.2 behind Gilmer in our district. That is even ahead of Chapel Hill. So while you are bad mouthing these kids try to do something productive, you jerk!

I watch sub-varsity and middle school ball pretty close because I've got a lot of nieces and nephews. I think there's talent there but it all depends on what the staff does with it. I wonder if DM's heart is still in it since he got his ring. I fear he might be coasting till retirement.

Yes they will but after next year the 2015 class will not have any help because the upcoming freshman record was horrible i think they only won one or two games. Its the upcoming freshman with no talent!

He is competing with two other boys for QB. The coaches will play who is the best. It is unfair to suggest because his dad is Supt. that he will be the QB. He is a good young athlete 6' 4 " tall but has some competition at the position. Personaly I do not think he will be No. 1 but time will tell.The Moore boy and Dotson boy along with Boles will battle it out in non dist. and the best one will start in dist. play. None are like Barnes but will play hard and hopefully smart. My vote now goes to Moore being the starter.
To suggest Boles will start because of dad is totally not true or sound thinking.I have more confidence in the coaches than that. You are not a true Lion fan or you would also.

I can promise you the QB coach RJ Meeks doesnt care who any of his players parents are in town. He will play the QB that gets the job done. Thats what he did with Barnes even though Wilder's daddy joined the school board. Either way there will be conflict - Boles dad is Supt., Moore dad is band director, Dotson dad is Principal - but I trust that our coaching staff will make the right decision.

well from the looks of it all we have to get some coaches first then work on the rest.we are in need of coaches,teachers and principals.

First off I would like to congratulate you on making yourself a fucking dumbass by saying Little dick Meeks knows what he is doing. He's an ole college drunk that can't coach worth a shit by far the only reason he works is cause daddy "runs" the team.. The only reason we won state is because of the talent on the team and aside of some Improved strength. Little dick Meeks doesn't play whose best he plays who he feels like and by history he favors some black dick. For instance, Skelton was our quarter back I'n the later years and yielded quite a bit of success. He had the elements of a quarter back. But whooah here come THE SUPPERNIGG tyrell-I-have-three-kids Jenkins. Yeah we had a great season for two years when that change was made. That's just plain proof. RJ is about as good of a coach as his daddy is not putting his mother fuggin hands on his knees for more than five minutes.

Earl and his alike just enjoy smear tactics. Just smear and tear down anything and everything. Lions win first state championship in school history and its all because they had more talent. Must not have gone to the game as chapel hill had more size and speed than the Lions. H coaches outcoached the CH coaches all day.
Bringing up Skelton is something. Still sore about that and it happened several years ago. Get over it and get a life duds. The Lions will be competive and play hard---don't be surprised to see them fool you and some more doubters.

Earl.... Watson was the QB coach when Skelton was was replaced by Jenkins. I personally think that Del Barnes was a great choice for QB the past 2 seasons. The Meeks have done a good job in my opinion. State Championship and State Semi's... hows that bad decision making and coaching?
