people around here are very opinionated, and people don't like that. They take it personal, and the fight starts. People need to realize not everybody agrees, if they did, there would be no need for elections on bonds, or elected offices. When I get attacked I attack back, I am sure you do too.

1 While I am not ashamed of anything I say on here, it is convenient to be cloaked under the cloud of anonymity. Heck, I could be arguing with my relatives and not know it. I don't think it makes me a hypocrite, because I will own my opinions. |

1 this is easy to answer. people in henderson think they are high society; when in reality it is just a little redneck town that needs to grow up. this is the stupidest town i have ever seen in my entire life. i know several people here that really think they are something special and high class.!PLEASE! this little town and the people in it are nothing but a joke and needs a reality check. |

2 Everybody has a choice, you just choose not to exercise yours. It might not be the "I'm better than you because I was born in Henderson" syndrome; it might be your "poor pitiful me" attitude. I wasn't born here either but I didn't expect the citizens of Henderson to conform to me and my ways, I conformed to theirs (without losing my identity). Stop expecting people to come up to you with a smile and a handshake; go to them with a smile and a handshake. Live where you are, not where you were. |

1 i guess you don't watch the news and know that we are in a economy crisis. it is kind of hard to move from somewhere you hate when you don't have the means to do so. you say you conformed to henderson's ways; that is really sad! i feel sorry for you. i refuse to conform to any town or their idea/ways just because i want to fit in. i would rather be the outcast than let myself go that way. |

2 And with that attitude, you will always be an outcast no matter where you go. When I say I conformed I mean that I came from a different state, different culture. I did not expect the people of Henderson to conform to my ways. The tree that doesn't bend in the wind breaks off. You're sitting there waiting for someone to come get you and you're pissed off because they don't. Why would they? If you do get to move, you're going to find out that your attitude goes with you and you won't like that town any better than Henderson. There may be some snobs in Henderson and you sound like one of them. |

1 thank you! that was my whole point exactly. i never came into this town with an attitude until the attitude was shown to me. i welcomed everybody with open arms and out of this whole town i can count on ONE hand how many returned the favor of being nice back and were real about it. "critter" you seriously need a reality check. you missed the whole point! you are reading my comments and not comprehending anything that i am saying. if i seem like a snob to you then so be it. sounds like you are the one with the attitude. as you say you come from a different state and culture; i am one of those that came from a totally different place/culture and NEVER have i seen a small "po-dunk" town such as this one. you say you conformed to henderson, sounds like you did a very good job; you act just like most in this place. good job on that conforming. i never said i was an outcast, i said I WOULD RATHER BE AN OUTCAST than conform to the beliefs/ways of others. wow, you cannot read! |

I am not from here and have made some of the best friends ever. I have plugged into different groups that interest me as well as my children's activities. Yes, Henderson has its problems or problem people, but so do other towns. Sometimes you have to try a few things to get involved but you mostly get out what you put in. That includes attitude. I love my friends here.

1 Thank you. You said what I was trying to say much better. The small town I moved from had its problems, too. Since I moved to Henderson I have moved to two other small towns and came back. Most people are by nature stand-offish. If you want a friend, you have to be one. I love the friends I left when I first moved to Henderson, I love my Henderson friends and all the friends I made in the other two towns (you will note that I said "I made"--they didn't come to me, I went to them). There are jerks everywhere and I'm sorry "because" thinks I'm one of them. People have to be jolted sometimes. |
