I recently ate at a new family owned dinner on hwy 43 in Henderson ! It was great !!! A black family , don't know their names but they were over the top with making me feel like I was at home !!! I am looking forward to goIng back !! I am white - but seriously didn't know it mattered !! Go to Mama kitchen - you won't be sorry !! And for al the rest., I'm sorry you're hurt !!! I have been a member of first baptist my entire life and I can attest to the fact that most of the people who are members there are not racist in the least. Just because there are not many black members does not mean that they would not be welcomed with open loving arms if they were to join or visit. Of course there are a few old people who are racist... Find me a town where there aren't. the majority of the members of first baptist church are full of love- not hate. Maybe you should stop stereotyping.

Henderson isnt bad or different. It just has some horrible cowardly people that get on this site and talk crap about people. There are people in this town that i think are bad people. I just stay away from them. I have a life so i dont really concern myself with trying to run them down on some blog.

Alone is where I want to be as long as I remain in Henderson. I have seen alot of racism in my life and Henderson doesn't come close. The hypocrites who use religion as an excuse for really bad behaviour, of course. I Am so glad this election is over, it certainly has tainted the Local Churches. We, as AMERICANS should come together, instead of breaking off into "tribes" of different religions, gender, political views, but more than anything we should come together for the betterment of OUR country. Religion has been the cause of ALL wars and conflicts, lets not make this a civil war in our own country.Leave the religious preference out of politics. Jus Sayin

Actually that is partially false, most wars start with ignorance, greed, or lust for a certain thing or goal in mind. As for religion, I think it is high time that we separate church affairs from state affairs. The harder we try to integrate them both the more problems emerge from those who place certain limits. As for this thread, I think it needs to be ripped out and dipped in acid. Henderson isn't racist, "godless", or worse than the other towns in Texas. The real source of this negativity is that some people are just that bitter or ignorant and try to spread their negativity online. If you don't like Henderson, follow the ways of our ancestors and pack your things and find a new town to live in that suits your needs, don't bash this town and it's kind residents that make their way of life here.

The good thing about the election being over is that obama CANNOT RUN AGAIN.
