Nice article. It really does show the weakness of the conservative us vs them mentality. I still hear conservatives knocking the "pointy headed intellectuals" and "college educated idiots". Ever since W was pres it has been cute and electable to be simple minded. Sarah Palin is a fine example of this mentality.

Hopefully the "evil liberals" will be able to turn the tide. I believe education is the answer. That is why the GOP is attacking the public schools threatening to close them and go to all private. It is so they can have non regulated teachers who will push their conservative agenda. I guess ignorance really is bliss.

Nevada will and has always RULED!

I have lived in Nevada, Oregon and California and I like all three. I plan to retire in the woods so it will not matter which state I am in. Nancy Pelosi may not be as intelligent as Jimmy Carter but he was a nuclear scientist. Bill Clinton was the last president to have a balanced budget. The GOP and the conservatives backing them just seem to be doing everything they can to keep the tax breaks for the extremely wealthy. On every issue the dems present they hold up the extension of the tax breaks for the rich as an extortion point. They have had their breaks for 10 years and it has not helped the economy at all. The biggest issues for me are the environment and the economy. I only include the economy because when it is bad they totally screw the environment.
