Its not about the money or being black. Its about police abuse and the cowerdly way they killed the suspect without legal due process as guarenteed by the US Constitution of the United States. The cops are out of control with guns. You havn't been keeping up. They are settling hundreds of law suits just because they can't control their urges to shoot someone. Anyone! Nevada is a "Terrorist Police State" and this law suit will help the residents to send a message that we will NO LONGER put up with bad police work. Comeon down to Las Vegas and see it for your self. The police cannot be trusted, ever. Think about it, you could be next to suffer at the hands of Nevada police terrorism. Just think about it then get educated..

It is true that we have had way too many police involved shootings here in LasVegas. But we do need to keep in mind, that in this case this wasnt a sweet little innocent kid.He blatantly murdered another teen so he could have his car.He didnt just shoot the guy and leave him laying there. He planned to kill him.He put him in the trunk of his own car, dumped the body, then went back the next day and poured gasoline on his body and torched him.He was very uncooperative with police.I just think that if this family gets all these millions of dollars from suing metro, its going to send a loud message to society saying its ok to commit atrociuos crimes and then run from police, if you get shot, your family can sue and become rich from you being a criminal.Wheres the compensation for the family of the kid who was so brutally killed and mutilated??? Kyle was a pretty good kid, graduated, and held a full time job.Whereas, Suave was in and out of juvenile facilties, and always getting in trouble. The other kid involved is in jail, and will be tried as an adult.Im sorry but I disagree with this lawsuit.Id rather see the family of the man who was shot on the strip on the 4th of July, who had his music up too loud be rewarded the 23 mil.

So the cops get away with MURDER AGAIN.. Its called Police Terrorism. Now you can't play your music either. Whats next. We won't even get to play the National Anthem thanks to these terrorist cops. One day people are going to wake up and you won't have any freedoms in a country that prides itself on that very fact. Someone has got to do something to control these abusive and violant cops in Nevada. Because sooner or later, they will abuse you too.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!!! He brutally murdered a boy for a stupid car... No one deserves what Kyle went through I think he (Suave) got what he deserved.

Maybe you are one of them? We have bad in every part of society. But give me a break, bad cops everywhere. LMAO. Why do you think that the majority of the public do not have run ins with all these bad cops? Our lifestyles. Period. As for the kid in this thread. He was a waste of life, that made his weak mind up to be a wannabe thug. Justice was served. Saved the taxpayers alot of money. His family should get a bill from the city, for getting rid of that piece of crap. 23 million? Yea that will bring back the little scum, LOL

The Henderson Nevada police are OUT OF CONTROL. They ransacked my home for no apparent reason. I was out of town. When my wife asked them why they were doing this, they said "because we can".
The house was open, my boys had come out "just to talk" and were beat up and hand cuffed. No charge has been called out. Then the SWAT team destroyed my home. They broke evry window, every picture, put holes in the walls and left without explaination.
Whatever they were "looking for" was obviously not found. The only things confinscated were a legally registered pistal, which was in a gun safe, and double locked, and a stick with nails in it.
The stick was a walking cane before they broke the handle off.
What has this world come to?
I have lived in Henderson for 13 years, own my house and pay my taxes.
We are so out of Nevada.
The law suit will go on.

I saw an officer treat a young man extremely roughly. They through him around and smashed his head on the car while getting him in. There is no excuse - no matter what the kid ALLEGEDLY did, our police should have more control over their behavior. The cops are not responsible for punishment.

funny stuff

Now this one was funny. Deedub there was a reason I got out of bed this morning and you my friend gave it to me. There is more to the story that what Deedub is tell us but okay, I’ll go there with you, haha. Yep hose was open and out comes the boys to talk with the police yep. I’ll go there with you again. They were beat up and handcuffed, wow. No mention as to why SWAT was called out but okay if you say. SWAT was just in the neighborhood and decided to stop by your house, talk with your boys for no other reason than to be out of control. Give me a break. You saps actually believe the crap you write, wow. Did SWAT find anyone else playing hide and seek inside of your house, you did not mention that? I would have liked to have been there watching them destroy your home, I think it is funnier than crap but I don’t want to be insensitive. I cannot remember the last time SWAT entered a home without a search warrant but okay your right. Show up for coffee, tea and donuts, blow up the house and leave. A whole society of victims out there. They show up at my house, I think I will invite them in to keep my home from getting blown up and the little thugs inside will have to play hide and seek elsewhere and sure in the hell not in my house. Yep a broken walking cane with nails in comes standard issue these days. Most people simply throw broken things away but you don’t have to convince me, I am still laughing from your house getting blown up while your out of town. Good stuff! And your believing the stories being told to you about why. Have a nice day!

Ya’ll need to stay in school. Extremely roughly instead try extremely rough. Instead of they through him around try, they threw him around. Smashed his head. When you say this I think of a pumpkin that is smashed, beyond repair no coming back, smashed. If you are writing for the sake of drama then possibly describe how they smashed his head on the car while getting him in. I am not sure where you are going with this. You just state what you observed the officers doing to the handcuffed suspect, but you neglect to state what you observed the suspect doing, other than getting his head smashed. If you grab a hold of someone what can you feel, can you feel them pulling away from you, tensing up, resisting even though they are in handcuffs. Because you did not have a hold of the suspect, I question whether you can speak intelligently about what the officers did or did not feel the suspect doing which is a huge issue in my mind. If I am walking you to the car and your actively resisting by pulling away or not otherwise walking to the car how can you observe these behaviors other than the smashing of the head. Just a thought. Have a nice day!

Regarding my last comment - I admit there may be some good Metro officers on the force. However, you don't ever know which ones they are when dealing with them. Thus, still be cautious. I worked with a psychiatrist who, during his medical residency in Psychiatry, did consultation with the Sacramento police department. He stated that while doing his work there, he saw many instances of Explosive Personality Disorder(s). Needless to say, people go into police work for many different reasons.
