Acadian Museum honors Lalonde as living legend

Will any responsable person in the school system do anything about the principal at erath high? Touchet has intimedated, bullied and forced from erath high at last count for the year 2009 twenty kids have quit!!!!!!!!!! What is wrong with the erath school system?????? Are they afraid of this little bully????? Perhaps more media coverage or a a real man on a bully would make him grow up !!!!!!!!

I think the school is in great shape. Chances are the ones that have quit could not get away with what they wanted or did something they should not have done. He is one of the finest principals ever. Great guy to speak with and a great person also. With the things going on in the world today, if you cannot control that school well you have lost it all. There are other schools around the state that prinicpals have no control. We do not have the problems like some of those schools so thank god for that. Maybe these kids did not like being told what to do and get away with everything at home.

Your comment is the perfect example of what is wrong with the population today. Everyone expects to be treated different or better then others, are they believe that the rules do not apply to them. Well I was in the school system (over 20 years ago) and there were no Get Out of Trouble Free passes. I do suffer from Dyslexia but have never had any test read to me. Yes I did graduate with a 2.95 gpa and had to work my butt off for it, but I did it. You either made the grade or you failed. The rules were very simple. If you broke any of the rules there were consequences that came not only from school but God forbid when you got home. I am proud to tell others that I am from Erath and all 5 of my children attend Erath schools. Mr. Touchet does have a high expectation of our kids, but I would not want any less from him or any other education professional. People we are setting our children up for failure with all the political correction bull. No scores are taken on little league sports games, No One Left Behind in education, everyone makes the team, etc. These kids are graduating and stepping into the real world and struggling to make it, because there are no brakes in the real world. It’s simple do the work or get fired, because they will find someone who will do the work. I would really like to know if indeed twenty kids left Erath High what was the reason.
