Hey fellow hendersonians! Just wondering how many of you parents know how involved the local court system is in our schools? Did you know that our system handcuffs children under 16 years of age . This is of course when the school deems the child out of control which can mean anything from habitually missing school, to 20+ offenses that include not having a pencil, talking, having a cell phone etc.. collectively your child could end up in a jail setting in Bowling Green. I just want to know when Henderson lost their minds? especially enforcing some of the most ridiculous, petty discipline notices. How did this happen. The way some of these teachers shout and belittle the kids no wonder some of them just shut down. I know this because I have children, and they have friends, who have friends in this peyton place of a town. You know who you are? and you should be ashamed. A teacher should teach, not dicourage. If a student acts up what happened to a trip to the principals office? What has happened is someone set up these very astringent rules that were unrealistic to start with. Then certain school officials, court officals, and teachers decided to all get in bed together...next thing ya know the kids get treated like little experiments. Not all the kids if you know who and what I mean in this town? I'm about to stir things up a little who wants to join me in trying to change the madness???

I am sure u are talking about the high school but just let me say I have two in grade school who are continually having to tolerate the misbehavior of others. It is ridiculous that my children must attend school with other children who are so called adhd and the misbehavior goes unpunished. I have seen this children get their so called talking to about misbehavior and they think it is funny. It has come to a point where teachers have no control and parents ignore the fact that there children are a disruption. I am unsure what exactly u are talking about but there needs to be more guidelines or disciplinary action in the elementary schools.

Teachers are not paid enough to have to tolerate the smart elic comments and misbehavior that comes from the children of todays society. If u want a change in this county u need to step up and get involved which takes time. I am the first to agree that things dont run like I would like them to either but less time talking and more time getting involved is the key.

Hey Tammy.....try teaching one day and see if you feel the same way. I agree with blah. It is very discouraging to plan a lesson and be ready to teach and then have some child cuss you or refuse to work. We are the only country that allows free education for all students.

Oh and then you call the parents and they don't have a clue what to do with their own child. Then they want advise from the teacher. So not only are you teaching but now you are also parenting b/c the parent has no idea how to do it or chooses not too.

Tammy is right. the Henderson schools from kindergartner to 12 have the right to hand cuff then take the child to bowling green then call the parents It does not matter if the child is 5 or 16 and i you know no that the courts can order your child to ride the school. She is also right our children get in trouble for the stupids things. Henderson is and always been corrupted, dirty, and crooked. If you are not a cop or a city worker, lawyer, Dr. or a family member of the founder you are nothing and nothing you will stay. It does not matter what we want in this town like I said money talks and bullshit walks and a lot of us sure dont have!!! let me give all a warning DO NOT MOVE TO HENDERSON, KY.!!!! THIS TOWN WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!! STAY AWAY OR YOU WILL REGET!!!!!!

I must agree in the fact that I have dealt with the legal system and the school system and they do both suck. I do not agree with the misbehavior that goes on in the schools but trying to get anything done in this town is ridiculous, no one wants to do their job so they send u somewhere else to shut u up for a while and hope that u will give up before u figure anything out. I would love to work with the teachers in raising our children but they seem to want to judge parents before they have even spoken to them. They assume all parents do not care if they do not know them from high school or child hood.
