So what do you think of him will he get re elected? This latest controversy over emblems on a car makes me think he letting his power go to his head.

What I liked was that the other 3 commissioners (at least one of them will probably lose his seat in November) said almost the exact same thing concerning this issue in today's Gleaner. It's almost like they held a meeting over in Evansville to discuss how they would respond.

I have to agree with city attorney and other commisioners on this one. Pruitt made a serious mistake that may cost him his seat in the next election. |

Judged: 1 I think it is more they are worried about the POSSIBLE legal aspect of it since the veicle he is driving is not a CITY VEHICLE and is carrying the crest/logo/seal of the City of Henderson. You don't see elected officials such as judges and attorneys driving around with a magnetic sign like his on their PERSONAL vehicle do you. If it was a city/county/state issued veicle this story would never have made it to press. NOONE other than city/county/state employees should be allowed to have the crest/logo/seal on the city/county/state OWNED vehicle they are driving. I knew that some close-minded person was going to try and bring the race issue up and that is pathetic. He should have consulted the city attorney and his constituents before he did this but by not doing that he has brought this on himself. |

There was no rule saying he could not place a sign on his car. Js

Judged: 2 1 1 I guess they never thought anyone would be goofy enough to do it so no rule was needed... JS |

Most likely true, but how can someone be punished without clearly knowing what they are doing is not allowed? |

Judged: 1 Buzzy Newman should realize he serves at the pleasure of the City Commission---not the other way around. And besides, from what I read in The Gleaner, no one could find anything wrong with what Mr. Pruitt is doing (yea, maybe goofy). So where's the story? |

He is not going to get in any trouble over a sign on his car. He did not break any laws. Make it a law haters. He came in second place in the race now you guys hate lol.

I haven't heard of any "punishment". |
