IF 9 news knows he was being held for a non violent crime, why wouldn't they tell readers what the crime was?

I'd bet money he's long gone by now. That prison is only a few hundred yards from I-70, and there are 4 or 5 hotels within eye-shot of the facility. Hi-jack some poor motorist, and hit the highway. He could be anywhere by now.

Why wasn't the citizens of Logan County alerted of this right after it happened. Most residents did not know what was happing unil there kids got to school and the school was underlock down.

Can't trust them, cons are cons. Some may not be as bad as others, but you do a crime, you serve the time.

I guess the citizens of Logan County should all just sit around listening to police scanners instead of having the "public servants" serve the public. How about a local emergency broadcast message, or some trash like that? Maybe a reverse 911 call? I guess it wasn't important enough for that.

It is more than 100 miles from I-70. It would be I-76 that runs right by the prison. You must be a bright one.

what did the guard do with the other inmate that was taking out the trash. If the guard went running after the excapee. Did the deputy put the inmate away then chase the excapee. How do they become trusties. How do they pick which ones to trust. Obviously their system isn't working. How did the excapee get a weapon.
