Taking back Terrace Ave. in Hempstead

Harold Humdy Jr. was a piece of crap Drug dealing gun carrying waste of life. ask to see his rap sheet. And for Mrs. Dingle ask her about her drug dealing son or grandson,another piece of crap. These people must be kidding,blowing smoke up newsdays butt. Know who your speaking too befour printing it. And to Miss Rice. I hope you enjoyed your first and only term. You will never win.

I remember Terrace Ave from my growing up days. You can get crack and just about everything else in that part of Hempstead. What a dump. But they do have good crack, that's for sure. It's cheap too, and the best part about crack is that it's good for you because it looks just like crushed up peanutes (without the shell), which means that it's high in protein. Any educated person knows this.

If they clean up Terrace Ave they must provide a new home to the crack dealers. It's only fair, I mean everyone's got to make a buck in this world, and they provide a valuable community service with a product in demand.

I wont even comment because the comments section will be pulled down in no time.A taxpayer sinkhole is what that area is.

the whites are coming into these communities to buy the drugs. so maybe not. but there has to be stash houses all over white neighborhoods because when all those pounds and pounds of drugs come in from other countries they have to store it some where before it is broken down and distributed all over the place. the little guy behind this goes to jail but meanwhile the big guys continue to get richer and serve no jail time and the police, fbi and cia know who is the "real crooks"

It's been a disgrace for over 30 years. It would probably take 100 more years to clean it up. First you have to change the mentality of the people of live there. It should be demolished.

Not everybody who lives there deals drugs. The point of the story was to save the good people, and they are not all black. I think it's a good thing.

Doesnt the US Army have any surplus Sherman tanks to stroll down Terrace Avenue and destroy everything in its path, so Hempstaed can start rebuilding?

Everyone screams that the Police don't do anything, and when they do-they're profiling. You can't have it both ways. If you work a predominently black area, you will stop predominently black drivers. When everyone cried about the Jersey Troopers profiling, they stop pulling over the black drivers and now you have these drug/gun runners knowing that ,and running their drugs and guns from the south and where do you think they end up----the Housing projects!!!

I think if someone gave me the winning lotto numbers and I played them and won, and that same person gave me the numbers the following week---I'd be a fool not to play them. Well, if I pull over 10 black drivers and 10 white drivers and 5 of the black are in possession of drugs and guns and 1 of the 10 whites were in possession of drugs and guns---I'd play the odds and choose the black speeder over the white.(now these aren't true stats but just an example so don't get your hair all raised, it's just to show why a Trooper may stop the blacks. Maybe the fact is that the driver was speeding regardless)

Who dies and is most affected by these drugs and guns--the Housing project residents, who in most cases are blacks. In NYC, during 1990-----2245 murders were committed (incl. 85 from Happyland fire) which leaves 2160 murders in the streets of NYC-----guess who were the majority of the victims and the majority of the murderers..... Blacks!!! I would have to say that probably the stats on those murders regarding black on black accounted for 85% of all those cases if not more.These stats aren't any different today in 2008!!!

I suppose if all these so-called preachers weren't out there race baiting and concentrated in the area's that need it---maybe there could be some positive change. It's amazing that Fat "Racist" Al isn't anywhere when the blacks are killing each other but can rouse thousands of protesters at other events but has no interest in truely helping "his own". The obvious answer is Fat Al see's no money in it unless he's working for an Attorney where he gets a percentage of the award---Wake up Black America, this man does nothing but increase racial tensions and has no regards for the Blacks--just his own self serving interest. Al doesn't have a job but always seems to show up everywhere with the best of clothes and eats at the best restaurants and so on. He makes a living and a very good one while using you as a sucker. When was the last time he was in the City Housing projects honestly trying to get these kids off the streets and in school. Nope--he's only trying to stir up crap and has no true interest in the community that really needs it.

Get the chip off your shoulders and move on. Until the Black community wakes up, and tries working at a solution rather then pointing the finger all the time, they'll never change a thing. If you took all the Fat Al protesters who have nothing else to do but stop traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge and put those same people with the same time in an after school program to help the youth and talk to them in a positive way--things could get better.

I am very happy that they are cleaning those streets up it is so much better for the kids they can run around and play now with out any crack heads messing with them or any stray bullett hitting them I love it thank-you Ms. rice a million times

Everyone that lives on Terrace don't sell drugs or smoke Crack. I know because I live on Terrace. Y'all don't know peoples financial situations. I would appreciate it if you did't generalize that everyone that lives on Terace is the same. I am an intelligent individual and I deserve to be treated as such. Everyone can't afford a house in the Hamptons. So in your face!!
