Its Ashame To See What Dumb Kids With Guns Will Do To People Who Are Working On Changing Their Lifes For The Better..Lord Was No Angel But He Was Extremely DIFFERENT..He Was Extremely Far From Average!! The Way He Carried Himself..The Respect He Held For The People He Respected & Looked Up To Showed That..He Served As An Inspiration To Many & To See His Life Taken So Tragically Is Heartbreaking..There Are So Many Rumors Of What Happened I'm Sure There Were People Who Know Exactly What Happened & Hopefully They Will Come Forward So That The People Responsible Can Have Justice Served To Them In The Court Of Law Not The Streets Of Roosevelt..I Know Its Gonna Be Hard But Everybody Hurting Right Now 'Hold Ya Heads'..& Try Not To Retaliate B/c The Only Result Is Going To Be More Bloodshed..For Roosevelt TO Be So Small There Is SO Much Going On With All This Gang Activity I Just Hope That Things Improve Soon Because It Makes No Sense For People's Lives To Be Taken Over Foolishness....Like Come On How Many More People Do We Have To Lose On The Streets Of Roosevelt Before We Make Some Changes.Its So Sad Like My Thoughts,Prayers, & Sympathies Are With His Mother, His Brothers, His Girlfriend, & The Rest Of His Loved One & Friends..I Pray That God Has Mercy On The Soul Of The People Who Had Something To Do With This..'Tha Velt' Will Never Be The Same..I Just Hope That Lord's Life Will Be Used A Lesson To Everybody Thats Out There In The Streets..

I remember back in Roosevelt High ..when Lord would run the hallways along with his two brothers ... I called them The Carter Three... now it"s The Carter Two...I know we should never ask why him..Because we can never get an answer.. But I will say"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"!
I have a 1yr old son, and we can't even go to the parks right here in Roosevelt ,due to the fact there is always something going on...I have seen so many young men leave this earth within the last five years before there time.
To the family of Lord Carter my heart is with you all at this time.( My bestie Nai if you need me I'm there) I know what it feels like to lose family to the streets..

I really feel sorry for the family that lost a brother and a son. I'm from Roosevelt and i got shot out there myself, and had to deal with that out come..But something like this really hurts the family and that's what's important right now. I hope we can really stop the violence we are doing to others....R.I.P from MUD out of the Velt...Roosevelt keep your heads up

Losers, all of them, and it's their children that suffer. The whole cycle perpetuates itself and the rest of society has to put up with the animals.

Some of these comments really disturb me. No one, no matter who they are deserves to die. That is up to God to decide. If you knew him, you would know that he was a kind person. Unless, you are from Roosevelt you will never understand, why certain people choose the paths that they do. Every town that surrounds us counts us out before they even know anything about our personalities and thats because the media only gives us shine when something negative happens, never anything positive. I am so sad because we have lost another one of our soldiers to gang violence, however, I do believe that this situation will serve as an example to all.

I am glad that there are more positive comments than a**hole comments. Those of you who think this type of stuff cannot touch you should pay attention to this young man's story. He had problems, he realized he had problems and he made a change. Just like those of you who had problems as youth, grew up and became responsible adults.

This is SAD because everyone deserves the chance to grow up. Too many of our youth are losing that opportunity.

I've known Lord for five years, he did not deserve this- no one does.
