Calif. sheriff's dept. has killed 3 on reservation in 1 week

Isn't the federal government supposed to take care of law enforcement problems on reservations? I think that's how it works in NC. Those people on the res need to contact the Feds!!!

We (native americans) have trusted the feds before, what did it get us? Lets see... our land was stolen, our people were slaughtered, and they were kind enough to introduce us to many of their diseases..

Good point...however your ability to manage yourselves now is in serious question. At least with the Soboba Indians. Many other tribes are very successful, operate fantastic venues, and are self sufficent. Perhaps it is just this tribe that cant seem to manage anything other than cashing their checks?

Oh yeah that will stop the criminals that live on the Soboba Res. from shooting at everyone. The next forum will read Federal Agents kill 1 on Soboba Res. after shooting at marked patrol car for no good reason and the Soboba tribal leaders are up in arms. Perhaps the tribal leaders should round up everyone and have a heart to heart. Oh no they will just put everyone down for shooting the crazy guy running around with an assault rifle blazing away at every thing that moves. The world must be ending soon. Things are so jacked up. I truely wonder if there are normal people left.

WOW and to think we were going there every week and were in the High Desert untill we noticed alllllll the tweakers coming in and out in and out and so now hubby and I take a nice ride to other casino's sorry Saboba but untill things are cleaned up around there were not coming back, take my money and head to stateline I guess!!and stop blaming other's for the problems you have the money to clean up your reservation, and you jhc we are the one's that are making the Indians rich!!

Have you been on many reservations lately, i would like you to show me the rich indians

yessss i have been out to the reservations, the rich get RICHER and the poor get POORER, oh and the Indian Casinos are always saying on TV "we help our own we take care of our own" Ok well when and where?? and why are our Tax paid police being called out to the Indian Res ?? lets send them a bill everytime there called out there?? Time we put down our foot,, and by the way I have many american indian/latino family memeber's they work and pay taxes as they should!!!

Sorry. Most of the time I would trust the Feds over the state (most states). I lived on a res in AZ and the alcoholism and general health problems were unbelievable. BUT the Native Americans there hoped to hold their pitiful heritage together and they hoped that their language would not totally die out. I have a lot of admiration for them.

you mean you indians didnt hear the news? mexico thinks thisland is all mexican territory.

seems like all the money doesn't help their basic values. white man or not this res is full of peeps who totally disrespect all elders. just cos they're native american doesn't mean they are not a-holes. word.
