New to Hemet; Impression

I just recently moved to Hemet and I will have to say, I have never moved to a more racist city in my entire life!
And don't get me wrong, I am from an ALL white city, very few of any other race.
I come here, and everyone is so judgmental towards black people, and since I've been here I haven't met any black person who was not as nice as can be!
You all need to stop being racist and give people a chance!
I even get treated badly because I'm white.
What is wrong with everyone?!
It's younger ages and older ages.
I've also noticed there are no jobs, myself and the three people i moved here have applied EVERYWHERE, seriously. Still no jobs.

Such rude comments to someone just stating how she feels. I moved to Hemet 15 years ago and I also found it to be a cold shoulder place. I just decided to kill them with kindness. I make an effort to say hello. I open doors for people and I try to be nice to everyone. Welcome Amber! Give it some time and hopefully it will grow on you. Good luck with your job search.

I visited Hemet last year & found the town pleasant enough. Don't get it regarding blacks...there are hookers, drug dealers, whites blacks, nice people, nasty people, drunks everywhere even in the best areas although its pretty much down played in Malibu. So where do you move to? Maybe an Island....it's just a suggestion

You are in luck, I have a job opening Monday. Since it's dealing with the public, you must not have tattoos, body piercing, no bright colored hair such as orange, green, blue, purple, or any other ugly ass color. You must arrive to work 15 minutes before starting to work. It requires you to speak only clear English.
You must be a US Citizen or in the process of becoming one. No smoking allowed on the property. You must speak only English while your ass is on my property. I will pay your medical and dental.
Your wages will depend on how smart you are. You only need to type 90 words per minute and if you do not know Microsoft Word, you will be trained. You will arrive to work clean and fresh.
You must have completed High School or a GED.

I moved here almost 2 years ago and hate to say it but I agree. This is not a very friendly place.

Holy crap newbie.... don't you read the newspapers or peruse Facebook. Tonight there was a City Council meeting at the Hemet library to discuss the serious crime rate in Hemet/San Jacinto and thousands attended. We have the highest crime rate in California and it's primarily black and illegal hispanics and parolees doing the raping, robbing, car theft, pandering and prostitution. Don't get me wrong, there are a few whites in the mix as well. Hemet will return to a friendly town when they haul off the scum bags.

Do yourself a favor and pick up the Press Enterprise newspaper and read about the crime in Hemet. I have a feeling you and your friends are from a Southern state and came to California, the land of opportunity to find work. Like one commenter suggested... do your homework before you move anywhere!
