Am I reading you right? City employees who complained about Petty shouldbe fired beacuse his business is bringing in tax revenue?

Let me say this...corruption of any type (whether it brings in money or not) should not be tolerated. It's funny that Petty's hospital plans will cost $275 million, but he can't fix his piece of crap building on Kimball!

Petty has aligned himself with Chaudhri, Lowe and the others who have driven this city into the ground. They should be paying for this, not the citizens or employees of this city.

Do a little research and look into the contuinued corruption at Hemet Valley Hospital, Diamond Valley Lake, The Cities of Hemet and San Jacinto. You'll find several common factors. all the players (especially Petty) are involved.

In fact, Measure P (Physicians for Healthy Hospitals) is another scam. Let's sell off our public hospital that these crooks have run into the ground, so that they can turn around and make a profit on it.

You need to really re-evaluate your position on this. These guys are crooked and have milked the citizens for too long!

If you truly beleive what you have posted, then you are part of the problem too!

I agree with Evans. "Yeah Right" you truly just want to see the hospital go out of business, don't you???? Can't you see that it doesn't work to be a non-profit public hospital!!! If measure P fails the hospital will go out of business, which will be way worse for the valley.

Crawford, you have been listening to the wrong people. I don't want to see the hospital go out of business. I want to see the proper management of the hospital. What people need know and understand is Hemet Community Medical Group and Kali Chaudhri have a stangle hold on the hospital. Ever since he took over, the hospital has faltered. This blog is not long enough to state all the facts. The hospital will sell and then the ER will eventually close and we'll all be screwed. Wait and see! By that time, it'll be too late!

Crawford and Evans, let me ask you this. If corruption means that we'll keep jobs and businesses open. Is corruption ok? Do we look the other way and just say, "I'm ok, I have a job" ?

Don't just listen to these people, do some research and look into these things. Maybe you'll see the truth after looking into it.

Google Kali Chaudhri and see what damage he's done to other hospitals. Do the same for Petty and see what he has his hands in. It's amazing to me that people will set their morals and ethics aside because money is pushed in front of their faces. These guys are what is wrong with America today! Big money deciding the fate of others!

You then should also Google "public hospitals" and see that they are failing! One by one, then are becoming private because government can't support them, and they are not run efficiently. In the end I don't care who owns the hospital but we can't just pushing down measures because we don't want to see it sold. Why did we deny Kaiser from buying it? Or the investors that came after? THEIR WON'T BE A HOSPITAL emergency room or not. You can wait all the-live-long-day for "smart management" like we've been doing or let the private sector run it.

"Yeah Right" their was a study in Austraila that determined that private was better. I found 10 MORE UNIVERSITY reports that echo the same thing. http://www.theunnecesarean.com/blog/2009/2/18... #

You seem to be settling for the rhetoric being pushed by HCMG and their cronies. Australian studies are not germaine to US Hospitals. Second, Hemet Valley Hospital did just fine before agreeing to a management contract with Chaudhri. In fact, they were a very well run and respected hospital until that time. Measure P will sell the hospital to Chaudhri's group (headed by his long-time business associates Dr. Denes and Dr. Cherry).

Doesn't it make you wonder why the same group is planning to build a competeing hospital less than three miles down the street?

Isn't it clear that they plan to scuttle HVMC and drive the business and patients to their new establishment that's being planned at the old Wal-Mart?

There are many punlic hospitals that are robust. The difference is that they're not being stripped by greedy businessmen who care more about their account balance than the care of patients. When businessmen run medicine, the patient's always lose.

I guess it's to obvious to see that!!

Let’s just do the history…

They gave benchmarking which included index linked, benchmarked linked pensions for civil and public servants. They guaranteed everyone’s job from the Health Boards. They hired in another layer of bureaucracy called the HSE. They decentralised so they had to hire more people. None of this was linked to productivity So the cost of Health soared but the services didn’t improve So they realized they couldn’t provide any extra public beds because they couldn’t persuade the bureaucrats to work. The new equipment and the good nurses and the fancy doctors go into the new private hospitals. And the old and the poor and the cystic fibrosis patients will die in the old crappy hospitals while the privately insured live it up next door in the carpeted hospital.

Let's be clear, this is a community hospital. It was intended to be run by a representative group of community memebers. That plan began to crumble when greedy doctors turned businessmen saw that they could profit. The profits came at the expense of the patients and community. How does one running a hospital increase profits? By terminating long-time employees, slashing benefits, reducing services and hiring nurses from outside the U.S. That is what has happened to VHS. It continues to happen today and will in the end result in the closure of the hospital, period!

Good doctors have been run out of town or coerced into siding with the ones running the show. Do a bit of research. Talk to some of the hospital staff and ask them what they think of Chaudhri, Denes, Cherry and the others.

You may be a bit shocked. On the other hand, it sounds like you've been blinded by the promises of those pulling the strings.

This community will not have an ER in the future. You can count on that. Then those with medical problems will die on the street and NOT the old run-down hospital!

Those who believe a public "welfare" hospital format works need to go wait in line when they're in drastic need of emergency medical care. This type of hospital does not work because they are bleeding worse than the patients who walk into the ER. You CAN NOT operate any type of business, to include a hospital, when the people who are your customers "patients" do not have the means to pay for the service. The ER's in public hospitals are crowded beyond belief because all the illegal aliens and others go there when they have a cold or other minor illness. Those who have insurance avoid the ER because they don't want to wait. So guess what, all they get are those who can't afford to pay and lie about their identities and the hospital is left holding the bag and the debt that comes with having to pay the employees and other expenses associated with caring for people.

Petty has everything to do with the hospital and EVERYTHING political in Hemet. He endorsed Van Arsdale, Lowe, Youssef and Franchville, and it has worked to his advantage. These people will not stand up to him or his cronies. In fact, they just approved a $275 million project that he is heading up. Better get educated, Petty has his hands in all kinds of politics. That's why the Council won't take action on the Kimball house.

The update is this...the roof has been removed and that's where it ends. No improvements to this date. Photos daily to prove it!

The Dog park did not come from the city's general fund, it came from park grants.
