Our son's cross has been on Neskowin Beach since just after his death on July 13, 2007; when he was swept out to sea from the shore of Neskowin beach. The cross for our son, Kevin Healey was recently removed...sometime in the last week. If anyone can tell us who and why it was removed we would greatly appreciate it. I understand there may be laws about having a cross on the beach, but there are also laws about having them on the highways too, and yet there are plenty of them that go undisturbed. We have kept it up beautifully as we are there at least once a month even though we live in Oregon City, so you can imagine our shock when we showed up this weekend for father's day and it was gone. If nothing else, we'd like it back if anyone know's who may have it. My husband built our son's beautiful cross, and it is the only memorial site we had for him. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is terrible that his cross disappeared. I really hope that you have recovered it.

The reason I am responding to your post is that today, 6 September 2009, I can't stop thinking about your family and wondering how you are. I'm not sure why I am thinking about you so much today. I'm especially concerned for John, who was a student of mine at CHS.

I too lost a brother when I was a teen, so I can sure relate with how John must feel. My parents suffered so much too. Anyway, I am thinking of you, and if you would like to talk, contact me through Canby High School.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
