So far, the selection at the former Albertsons in Quarry Village is terrible. Empty shelves abound, much of the previous store selections are no longer stocked. Hopefully this is a transition issue, but I am not impressed.

Prices may be lower this week on some items, but Coca Cola products have skyrocketed. Don't be fooled.

pcgal, oh I agree. As a parting shot, Quarry Vllage Albertson jacked up there prices and most products on the shelves are eons past the sell by date. We made the mistake of purchasing a bag of snicker there for the trick or treaters, That never showed up, by the way. The fun size bag of snickers was $6.50. Ouch! Loyal customers my asterisk. Someone please open a really good grocery store with edible produce. Where are the mom and pops I am supposed to be supporting. one thing I can say about fresh market is Kroger actually has a decent replacement for catalina dressing which kraft made theirs "new and improved"(horrible, now). Maybe the evil wal-mart will come through. Whole pay check has high prices with sometimes arrogant snotty workers. Not exactely rushing to go theree, ever!

When Publix bought some Albertson's stores here in Florida, they first liquidated the stock through escalating sales of ultimately 90%. Gave away the rest. Closed the stores for a month to remodel and re-stock. Result - same personnel, new attitude, fresh merchandise and overall lower prices - and more customers. That's the way, don't transition, start fresh. I'll be back in PC next month, hope I don't "miss" Albertson's.

Hi - the fresh produce that you are looking for may be found at Costco :)

I can't even believe the squeaky wheels are getting their way on this one...

well the albertons in town has looked dirty and dingy for years. overpriced and not great service. i'm aware the same exact people are going to be working/running this store. simply with a new name and new stuff.

i will miss the albertsons home life collection. that stuff was great, especially the dish soap. best price and quality.

but, back to my point. i would like to see the albertsons fixed up. the one in logan, was so nice. this one is just.. ick.

also, will the new market sell beer for 24 hours? i hope so, it's the only place you can get something when you aren't ready to sleep after a night out.

They won't sell beer 24 hours a day as state law prohibits the sale of beer between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:00 am

state law? since when?

it's based upon the beer license. it's a county decision, not a state one as far as i've learned.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Aries

There is minor evil around today, whether it is harsh words or actions. Relationships with non spiritual people will tend to be abrasive, as you come to understand that such people can never be trusted, for their agenda is not love. Beware of criticism from colleagues or friends. Avoid being narrow minded and confining your views to the conventional. You may want to argue with everyone and everything, but beware of devouring your own energy in the process.
