Why does Robertson base his religion on tearing down others? Where are all the anti-baptists and the anti-lutherans and the anti-methodists? Why does Roberson presume that Mormons aren't familiar with their own doctrines and their own teachings? Maybe mormons are an easy target because they have actual writings by their leaders on gospel subjects that people can actually read. Let's see Roberson's creed stand up for nearing 200 years. I think that in 200 years, Robertson will just be another sound of tinkling brass in a forgotten, yet small ensemble of tiny brass cymbals.

ADL (The Anti-Defamation League) Condemns "Mormon-Bashing" DVD
Phoenix, AZ, March 27, 2007......The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) condemned the distribution of an anti-Mormon DVD by the organization Concerned Christians as nothing more than "Mormon-bashing."
Bill Straus, ADL Arizona Regional Director, observed: "This is the same kind of plain, old-fashioned Mormon-bashing that Jim Robertson and his group have been spewing for over a quarter-of-a-century. The only difference is that back then, it was the film,'The God Makers,' and today it's the DVD,'Jesus Christ/Joseph Smith.' It was wrong then, and it's wrong now."
ADL Regional Board Chair David Bodney added, "Hate directed at any of us is hate directed at all of us. From whomever that hate comes, and to whomever it's directed, ADL takes it very seriously and will continue to speak out against it."
The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

WHO CARES IT IS ALL ABUNCH OF BS. RELIGION IS NOTHING BUT A HUGE BUSINESS MAKING MILLIONS ON POOR AND/OR OLD PEOPLE THAT NEED SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN. IF YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN A "GOD" TO DO GOOD OR LIVE RIGHT THEN KEEP IT TO YOURSELF. BUT WHILE YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO MAKE A LIVING THESE PASTORS, PREACHERS AND WHAT EVERELSE THEY CALL THEMSELVES, I CALL THEM CROOKS, ARE DRIVING NICE CARS AND LIVING IN NICE HOUSES AND NOT WORRIED ABOUT MONEY AT ALL. WHY DOES "GOD" NEED YOUR MONEY? THESE CROOKS ARE TAKING YOUR MONEY RAPING OR FONDLING YOUR BABIES AND YOU KEEP GIVING THESE JERKS MONEY.

Perhaps the Concerned Christians should consider changing their name to Concerned UnChristians. They profess to be Christain, but then don't act like it.

I would prefer that they teach what they believe and spend their time sharing good and peace. It might do more good.

I was disappointed to recive this DVD. It didn't include any mention of a name of an organization that distributed it. I confess I didn't watch much. I was reminded of a scripture - "by their fruits ye shall know them" and works of secrecy speak volumes about this organization.

I work directly with a baptist minister and I couldn't see him trying to tear down any religion to advance his own as this DVD does.

I hope the people that used their resources to distribute this DVD will stop kicking against the pricks as did Saul and pray with a sincere heart, with real intent to know the truth - "and the truth shall set you free".

I agree that there are many religious leaders for whom this is big business. Interestingly, the bible even prophesies that this would happen.

But did you know that Mormon bishops are not paid? They have regular full-time jobs AND they serve full-time as bishops for no pay whatsoever.

They are some of the best-educated people you will find anywhere, and yet they believe in God because they have experienced his hand in their lives.

I am not a Mormon bishop, but God has blessed me and my family as we have put our faith in Jesus Christ and followed the teachings of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon).

Our missionaries, mostly 19-21 yr-old young men and women willingly give 18 months to 2 years of their lives while in the prime of their lives--also with no pay, but on their own dime. Why would they do this?

I invite you to check out www.mormon.org to find out why they would do this and what we believe.

Jim Robertson is not trying to point you to his religion. He's trying to point you to Jesus Christ since he is the only one who can save you. No prophet, religion or church can save you. Only Jesus Christ can save you. Remember he said he is the only one you can come thru to the father. He didn't say "plus Joseph Smith" or "plus Buddha". Everyone breaks one or more of the 10 commandments like lying, stealing, etc.. and they will stand before God and answer to charges. Suppose you are in court and you are fined 50,000 dollars for stealing and someone else pays for the fine, wouldn't you be grateful? Of course, you would. Now back to Jesus. He paid the fine for your sins by giving up his life on the cross. Everyone should be grateful for what Jesus did for us but most people don't get it. What you can do is ask Jesus to forgive your sins and accept him in your life. That's it. Plain and simple. Joseph Smith and other religion founder will not save you. So, you got to choose between Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith. Remember Jesus said you cannot serve both masters at the same time! Think about it.

First of all God dosen't need your money. But apparently Pat Robertson, Jimmy Swggert, Creflo Dollar and thousands of others do.
Second: Any idea how many millions of people have been killed in the name of religion?
And last But Not Least. and I quote. " I am Alpha and Omega, the begining and the end, I am all things to all men." Sound Familiar? So in closing , let us take a lesson, God,Yaweh,Jehovah,Allah... You get the idea !!!!

Defenition of Prophet:a spokesperson of some doctrine, cause, or movement.( www.dictionary.com )
So if Joseph Smith spoke about the religion and tried to convert people, that makes him a prophet, right? Moses was a prophet, but Christianity doesn't say Jesus Christ/Moses, do they? Even though we all have our own beliefs, it's not right to put down others. It's wrong no matter what religion you follow.

I agree with the live and let live idea! However, if my son chooses to say the blessing over his lunch at school and your son don't like what he hears, than is that mine forcing his religion on yours? If the courthouse has a cross in front of it, because the founders of that court house wanted their beliefs represented, does that give you the right to start a pickett saying that the visibility of that cross is forcing a belief on you that you don't agree with? Why not just don't look at it?

YOUR SON CAN PRAY IN SCHOOL. THAT IS NOT TAKEN AWAY. THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM CANNOT HOLD THE PRAYER. IM WITH YA ON THAT. HOWEVER THE CROSS IN FRONT OF THE COURT HOUSE IS WRONG. SEPERATION FROM CHURCH AND STATE. I WOULD NOT PICKETT I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO. BUT I FEEL IT IS FORCING A RELIGION ONTO PEOPLE WHEN THEY SEE THAT.

Hank & Jeffrey,
I think it would be helpful to clear up a common misconception. Being LDS isn't about being saved through Joseph Smith. Just as you said, Christ is the one and only savior, and no founder(s) of any religion may say that they are/were responsible for the atonement.
The LDS church is specifically called the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, and while they believe Smith was a prophet, they also believe that Moses was a prophet, along with every other ancient one to be found in the Bible. To say that Mormons believe they can be "saved" through Joseph Smith and not Christ is a contradiction in itself.
They believe in the Bible and preach from it wholeheartedly. Though they have other books (such as the Book of Mormon), they are believed to be further testaments of Christ. No matter how you look at it, it all fundamentally comes back to Christ. In fact, they believe that Christ is the head of their church. Mormons believe and accept the atonement, follow Christ's teachings, pray to God, celebrate Easter and Christmas, and even go to church on (gasp) Sunday. They believe in the resurrection and the second coming and organized their church just as it was organized in biblical times (if you donít believe me, check the Bible). While they are stricter than most, to categorize Mormons as unchristian is nothing short of ignorance.
And, coming back to the DVD distribution, there is nothing so unchristian as to condemm a group of people for their beliefs. If being Mormon meant making a choice between Christ and Smith, then proclaiming you were a Christian would mean making a decision between Noah and Christ. Sound a little ridiculous?
If you have any other questions, I would follow Adamís advice and direct you to http://www.mormon.org/ . There you will find accurate information regarding the church and its beliefs. Iíve found that if I have questions about a church, their doctrine, or intentions, itís always best to go directly to the church for the answers. Donít assume youíre getting straight answers from someone who isnít even a member of that religion. Chances are the member will know a heck of a lot more about their religion than an outsider ever will.
James,
Before you launch into yet another my-keyboard-is-stuck-on-caps-l ock-rant, let me just say one thing: You've made it quite clear what your views are on religion, but this comment was not written in a spirit of persuasion; it was written to educate.

Your mind thinking on it's own is causing you to type in all caps??? If you're smarter than everybody who's been "duped" by religion, why can't you type and post in the commonly accepted way? I can't see that you've given any more thought to the reality of any religion that say... a retarded goat... under the influence of drugs.

YOU MADE MY POINT. YOU WANT TO ATTACK ME FOR NOT BELIEVING IN THE COMMONLY ACCEPTED RELIGION. LIKE THE TERRORIST WE ARE FIGHTING IN THE MID EAST. YOU PROVE TO ME THAT A RELIGION IS TRUE AND I WILL GIVE THOUGHT. YOU CAN'T. I CAN LIVE A PRODUCTIVE AND PEACEFULL LIFE AND NOT TAKE OR HURT ANYBODY WITHOUT FEARING A "GOD". CAN YOU? BY YOUR REMARKS I DONT THINK YOU CAN.
