Why would they file charges against the students who recieved them? How are they responsible for something that someone else sent?

This charge makes no sense. So If the same child hits herself in the face, will she be charged with child abuse? Typical story. No social services designed to help troubled teens are available, so she ends up in criminal court.

And they want to charge the kids who RECEIVED the photos? That's like a guy robbing a bank, throwing the money at me, and running away and the police charging ME with the whole thing.

How can you charge the persons that receive these photo's, unless you can show intent they solicited these pics.

If so then someone should send some pics similar to these to the prosecutor and she or he should be arrested. Now what if we or someone sends these or similar pictures to the president or how about the entire executive branch. Or to the enitre senate. Are they all going to be arrested. of course not so what a bunch of nonsense.
Further, I read a good argument. That the law allows, not sure about Ohio, but in many cases doesn't lock up 2 minors of equal age that enagage in sex. But we are going to put them in prison and make then sex offenders for life for sending a pic of themselves to each other? What kind of BS is that? In mu opinion it needs to be handled in homes with parents, not the justice department putting our children in prison, my god.

If you took a picture of it then yes. Even if you don't show it to anyone but yourself. That is child porn you created, by law. And even though it is of yourself and you're not showing it to anyone.
