I am a land owner who received the documents to sign, honestly I myself dont even understand all the papers I signed giving permission for this and that, it reminded me of when our grandfathers signed the treaties and did not understand what we were signing is all I know is that it said something about the possibility of oil.
I am a member of the Blackfeet Tribe. I grew up in South Dakota my mother left the reservation because of the poverty and hard times growing up. My mother has now since passed on and us kids got the land, I miss my mother and would rather have her back than anything. I remember from what mom told me and my grandmother about all the suffering there has been alot of poverty and hard times and that is still true today, hard times on the reservation. Maybe this will help us all in the future if this is so.......this talk of oil. |
