A sell-out crowd is an interesting response -- Everything I'd heard when the book came out indicated that most Alaskans thought McCandless was a reckless fool that that got what he deserved. Now people are lining up to see the movie version of Krakauer's book.

But I guess it's not everyday that films are shot on location in Fairbanks...
